then its not worth to use cc at all. government say that they want us to use cc for convenience. better use debit card if like that. coz not all payment straight away goes into our cc statement. some transaction required one or two days before we can see it online (i'm referring to maybank cc thru maybank2u). |

It's free ticket by Jetstar. Notice that they have admin fee, tax, fuel surcharges etc |

@iluvena,
Apologies. Where the Interest Free Period is not applicable, finance charges as per applicable tiered rate per month will be levied on all retail transactions from the date the retail transactions are posted. Source: HSBC @vin_ann, Thanks for the updates This post has been edited by tinkerbel: Jul 4 2008, 09:15 AM |

QUOTE(iluvena @ Jul 4 2008, 09:09 AM) then its not worth to use cc at all. government say that they want us to use cc for convenience. better use debit card if like that. Actually if you're diligently paying your credit card in full then there's no real loss, you're still getting up to 40+ days of interest free buying not including the points/rewards. If you don't pay in full then it's much better to pay by cash obviously.coz not all payment straight away goes into our cc statement. some transaction required one or two days before we can see it online (i'm referring to maybank cc thru maybank2u). I don't agree with BNM ruling, it's very favorable to the banks only but that's how it is unfortunately... |

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Jul 4 2008, 09:16 AM) Bwahahaha. I might hit that target, my statement after last month's Phuket trip is already almost half of that Wait, why am I buying the luggage for your father again? Maybe you can ask your lifeguard friend to buy it, think of it as an investment for the future But then again I don't have a HSBC Platinum card, too cheap to pay the fees |

Note that the flight is from KLIA main terminal, which impose a higher airport tax compared to LCCT. I did some calculation and on some days AirAsia is still cheaper but if you're on a budget. |

@vv001,
What is FFL? @tishaban, It's onli applicable to new Plat CC issued in MY so he doesn't qualify Yeah RM25k isn't too difficult to spend when U oredi know what U want to purchase. Too bad I don't think I qualify. Had I known of it earlier I would haf told the folks to get a HSBC Plat and utilise it when they were in Korea except dad is super loyal to UOB *gulp* @Syd G, If ur going on short term notice (departure within the next couple of days), AirAsia is probably NOT cheaper than JetStar. Also, with JetStar flying off KLIA, U get more duty free options *grins* @vin_ann, The fact that U haf a sister in SG makes it all the more worthwhile. I've no relatives I want to visit in SG |

QUOTE(David83 @ Jul 4 2008, 12:33 PM) Me too ... never got the promised gift. (The first time, I had to kick a huge fuss but I got the gift after a wait of 8-12 months) The second encounter with HSBC was no different but the only consolidation is that the sales person offered me another gift (which he personally gave) out of goodwill. Of all the good things that has been said about HSBC, this is probably the only weak (and very visible) aspect that upsets the customers. (I hope someone from HSBC reads this) |

dear folks....
altho i've registered for the jetstar promotion and i'm 2 more swipes from the free tickets... but i think i need to inform you guys that the ticket is NOT 100% free.... U have to pay for the tax, surcharge and admin fee... so even tho the ticket is free, u still have to pay around RM280 for return...(more expensive than luxury coach) |

@vv001,
It's tinkerbel and the only free for life with no conditions attached would be Direct Access. @vin_ann, How loyal. HSBC sends U to SG and U give the biz to UOB when ur there @TeraPox, RM280 is not expensive to fly to SG wat *grins* |
