i fully understand on late payment charges. coz i just get charges 1% out of rm3000 my outstanding balance that is rm30 (june statement).
but for the finance charges will be how much?

since its an accumulative balance. how they calculate it?

@iluvena,
Finance charges aren't based on accumulative balance; it'll be charged based on posting date, depending when U made that transaction.

Leave it up to the banks to do the calculation.
*
do u mean the charges will be still the same like before?
only the differences is the late payment and new purchase right?
arghhh.. going crazy already.

victim of myself.. haishh..

RHB historically has never been fantastic with it's credit card approval turnaround. My previous experience was - 1st time 2 month (Cancelled already several years back) and the 2nd time (4-5 weeks) (Card canceled already)

I suggest you arrange for regular payment and not to hope to RHB card to approve quickly.
*
yup. currently i play 'kutu'. will get the enough amount to settle all the debt end of July.
but i prefer rhb plan so that i can use the 'kutu' money for other purpose.

Kutu requires trust among players wink.gif

My late grandma used to host a kutu game to force people to save. Nowadays people run to credit card and personal loans for easy way out.

First you get into debts due to pumping of petrol??? Then now you're playing 'kutu'??? I really think you need to learn up some financial prudence man. You know how this kutu thing will get back to you right?  sweat.gif
*
not all by pumping petrol, some bought pc & stuff.
now only i can manage my finance. but it takes a while before i can fully recover.
i can manage the kutu things. same like paying minimum cc debt for every months. so i can survive.
last time my salary cukup2 makan. now i get more to cover all the debt

Kutu - Interest free, money gathering scheme among close family/friends. Let say I participate in a 3 months kutu cycle with 2 of my cousins where everybody chip in RM500 each.

Month 1 - Cousin 1 gets RM1000
Month 2 - Cousin 2 gets RM1000
Month 3 - I get RM1000

And restart cycle. My grandma had a 20 months kutu cycle biggrin.gif
*
dont make it too long for the cycle. max 12 months is ok. mine is 10 months cycle. rm500 per month. i will get rm4500 in july. so i can settle the debt. no interest. sumthin like personal loan la.

QUOTE(yks8845 @ Jun 26 2008, 05:23 PM)

I can never understand these 'Kutu' cycles tongue.gif  As far as I'm concern, it's not good tongue.gif

@Syd G,
U could alwiz pay up at the end of the month when Ur bill comes so U don't need to pay interest tongue.gif
*
thats the problem for me. always pay minimum. then swipe there swipe here. in the end, full of debt.

Goodness...all this discussion on being in Kutu scheme while having debts, swiping cards while you can't handle it, and all this mumbo jumbo on financial debt without any fear is really making me pengsan...to all especially the guy who plays kutu, I suggest you stop all this and just focus on clearing your credit card debt....  icon_question.gif
*

haishh.. just received letter from rhb. they rejected my balance transfer program. i guess its due to my bad credit history.

why my credit history so bad?
1) lost my car. i refuse to pay monthly payment coz i wanna claim insurance. quite frequent i didn't pay the payment until my insurance clear. end up i pay 4k more (thanks to car market price dropped at end of 2007) mad.gif
2) lost my job. no money how to pay? cimb cancel my cc facility. so its a bad record rite?
3) frequent late payment for maybank cc. coz no money also. bad record

so. i have a question for you guys. especially tinkerbell (u r so active ya)

how long does it takes for me to have a good financial record again? 1 year? 2 year?

quick question need a quick answer on new BNM rulings.

conditions:
if cc statement is on 28th every month.

question:
if we purchase something and the transaction date in the statement is on 20th, how is the calculation?
the finance charges apply from 20th or 28th?

@tinkerbel
then its not worth to use cc at all. government say that they want us to use cc for convenience. better use debit card if like that.
coz not all payment straight away goes into our cc statement. some transaction required one or two days before we can see it online (i'm referring to maybank cc thru maybank2u).
