I don't shop a lot but I do make most of my purchases through CC. It's v rare when I don't have sufficient CL. I did however split the purchase of my laptop between the 2 cards cause of insufficient CL *grins*

I take pride in being the one-third who pays their CC bills in full each month and that's been the case since I obtained my 1st CC in Y2000

Obviously TeraPox had a v bad experience with MBf previously [i dun remember what it was though]. Anyhow, what's the purpose of wanting to apply for that card? U shouldn't keep transferring ur debts from one bank to another; Ur gonna have to pay it off somehow, someday!

first of all, they are not a banking institution (that what they told me when i called to ask for waiver) so, they can't waive you annual fee...only can give u so-called discount...(and their bloody gold card is charging an annual fee of 200 over!!!)

secondly, this card dun bring u much benefits... they dun even have their own TP! they are linked up with Bonuslink...adui...

*their "Got 5" promotion is crap... a bloody gimmick... I've canceled my MBF gold card 3 years ago...

MBF sold all his banking divisions to AMBANK except the Credit Card Division... so they r now only a Credit Card Company...


Not all Promotion are gimmicks as long as u can really enjoy the promotion... like buy 1 free 1@ oriental group UOB. 7 Swipes to fly free, HSBC, Buy 1 free 1 @mellenium Hotel , Citibank.

but those promotion started with "stand a chance to win"and end with (*first 1000 customer only ) are some big fat gimmick...

To be fair, HSBC's promotion of the Samsonite luggage bag is also onli applicable to the first 1000 who meets the criteria. As to the SG trip, there's onli like RM30k worth of tickets up [i dunno how many that is]

MBf is just 'kiamsiap' that's all I heard about the Get 5 promotion over the radio but I've never bothered to get more information about it; not MBf cardholder so no need waste time

And how is it false advertising? Act, if U do come across a print advertisement that's misleading, U could alwiz lodge a report to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA).

because u all say those promotion thingy is fake....and then i like never see them announce winner or anything.....

i like the HSBC luggage bag promotion, but only valid for new platinum members.. adui... else 20k in 6 months is not hard at all...and i believe if u've achieve that amount, they will still give u the bag even u are no.1001 to achieve it..ahahahahha..

I used to be an Idiot and "participate" in this "got 5" promotion... i've sign for i don't know how many hundreds times and i only manage to get 3 5s...

1st 5, they refund 50 buck...

2nd 5, not a valid 5 coz it's from a petrol pump(wtf)

3rd 5, sorry, only 1000 customer per month.. and i'm the 1001 one i think...

Am sure the promotions run; except they don't advertise the winner - it's probably on their website. I suppose if U lodge a report and ask the banks to show U documentation of the promotions and winners, they would have a copy.

Conclusion ~ Malaysian Based CC is much more "kiam siap" compare to the foreign bank...
