QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Jun 16 2008, 02:00 PM) @TeraPox, As I said b4... I don't have a RHB card yet... but i know that they are issuing a separate Priority Pass membership card to you once they approve your visa. I just checked RHB's website. Apparently, only the Visa Infinite credit card allows access into airport lounges. My question now is, how difficult is it to obtain this card as opposed to their usual Platinum card? Also, are U issued a separate Priority Pass membership card or is it linked with ur Visa Infinite card? the card that access me into the priority lounge is my EON bank Visa... which does almost the samething as the priority pass except that it only valid for LCCT, KLIA and Changi... in a word, my EON bank card is not "as powerful" as priority pass interm of accessing priority lounges... so, my plan is...to cancel my EON bank soon, and switch to RHB... |

QUOTE(hye @ Jun 16 2008, 02:54 PM) @tinkerbel no, hye, you don't need to present your RHB visa card, but only ur priority pass...Not really. You can apply for RHB's Platinum card and you'll get the Priority Pass as well. Upon approval of your card, you'll get 2 cards -one being your credit card and the other one the Priority Pass. You'll need both cards to enter the airport lounge if I'm not mistaken. You'll need to pay to enter the airport lounge if I'm not mistaken. (Priority Pass is a membership actually which the bank bears the membership fees being you as a Platinum card holder) To obtain VISA Infinite - it's requirements is more or less equivalent to a Citigold card member. they will swipe your priority pass and let you sign on it... I've being a guest of a priority pass member once... that's why i know... |

QUOTE(hye @ Jun 16 2008, 04:00 PM) If these are true then why do the bank insist that your credit card need to be @ least 1 year old before using it as reference to apply a new card. In fact, some are more aggressive when they can make do with a 6 or 10 months card. Sometimes the banks makes it a little hard by asking for a 18 months old card before it can be used to make reference when applying for a new card. to see how's your payment history gua... Anyone can explain this phenomena ? Added on June 16, 2008, 4:11 pm@pisang EVERYTHING!!! except beer... This post has been edited by TeraPox: Jun 16 2008, 04:11 PM |

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Jun 16 2008, 05:50 PM) @TeraPox, one thing u need to consider b4 u get AMEX...usually, they dun wave your annual fee...I never said it was difficult to obtain, I just find it troublesome. I was invited by Amex once a couple of years ago but I didn't need it then so I declined the invitation. Now, I feel I don't want to go on using Citibank as my primary card and thus far it looks like MBB Amex gives out pretty good benefits hence am opting for that |

why do u want to terminate your card? having 2 cards isn't that much...
well, in terms of point benefit, MBB is great... every 16500 point u can get 100 vouchers from Parkson or jusco... that's consider high return looo... HSBC is oso good card issuer.. they have quite a number of benefit from time to time... keep both la.. This post has been edited by TeraPox: Jun 16 2008, 06:09 PM |

QUOTE(saerah80 @ Jun 16 2008, 06:10 PM) Thanks for your advice. Still, I don't think I can afford using two cards. I want to control my budget. keep ur maybank la...1) easy to make payment(maybank2u) 2) high return... every 16500 points exchange RM100 voucher 3) lower credit limit, so u can control better... |

found out that alot of people here think... if u have high CL, u die... coz u must spend all ur CL...ahahaha
actually cards can be good and can be bad... if you are good in exploring it's benifit, u win the bank... but if u overspent and unable to pay... the bank win U... ahahhaha... agree? anyone... |
