No, I want to study Chem Eng. instead of Biotechnology. Yeah I'm a STPM student. The application form guideline says this

STPM Student Entry Requirements BSc. Chem. Eng.

Minimum 2 principal passes including one Science subject or Maths

A-Levels

Minimum 2 principal passes including one Science subject and Maths

The AND / OR is alot of difference. I didn't fully pass my maths.  cry.gif

sweat.gif how bout ur other subjects? those are just the MINIMUM entry requirements, but they might accept you if the other subject's results are okay.

if they're just so-so, there's a chance they wont accept you. smile.gif

If you are talking about Chemical Engineering which is quite a popular course, minimum requirement wont get you a place.

But there is no harm trying. Its always easier to get a place in January intake compared to May intake.

well, courses like acturial science is hard because of the amount of mathematics and undertanding u need and time u need to spend on studying

i think for bio and chem is more on memorizing

and engineering is more on calculations (thei calculations are FAR MORE technical than actuarist!!!)

biz and mass comm.....this i dunno, i always thought this is easy, maybe cuz of memorising and assignment kua

CGPA 3.6 onwards. If you are still in year 1, you can dream of getting into the list. Year 2 onwards, its abit hard.

Lol. Foundation is nothing compared to degree. There is a guy who managed to score 3.9 above for every sem in foundation. But in degree, he can barely can get 3.3 above. Lol.

Bioscience are largely about memorizing. The algae name and phyla is killing me now.

why is it easier to register for jan intake as compared to may?

clinicalbiochem08: well, biotech is not too bad..i mean..every course and subjects have their pro and cons. so i always say that it all boil down to a person's interest in the course which he/she will be choosing.

a 3rd year in biotech, i can say that, biotech is pretty fun in all terms and i do the get satisfaction in studying esp when the lecturers who conducted the classes are all so wonderful (though i had my fair share of struggles and till the next May comes, I am still struggling)

btw...gambateh!!! 2 weeks of final revision rush! high on adrenaline now?
