Hey guys,

I am torn between choices to go INTI-UC and UTAR Kampar for Biotechnology. INTI fees are almost RM20k higher ( RM 51000 vs RM 30000+ ). I heard INTI has very good co-curicular activities and excellent studying place. UTAR, well I heard alot of stories and myself quite doubtful about the quality of education. Please enlighten me.

1. The facilities (basketball court, badminton court, pool/snooker, cafe etc)
2. Learning facilities (ICT lab, science labs etc)
3. People (very stereotypic such as existance of language orientated groups or races)

Thanks alot for the feedback!
Because since theres virtually no entertainment, I would rather immerse myself into co-curicular activities. If UTAR has that then it would be my choice, who doesn't wanna save $$? Still got accomodation to pay. mad.gif

Anyone doing this course? I dumped Biotechnology tongue.gif for BSc. Chemical Engineering. If anyone does, can tell me about the requirements? Thanks!!

No, I want to study Chem Eng. instead of Biotechnology. Yeah I'm a STPM student. The application form guideline says this

STPM Student Entry Requirements BSc. Chem. Eng.

Minimum 2 principal passes including one Science subject or Maths

A-Levels

Minimum 2 principal passes including one Science subject and Maths

The AND / OR is alot of difference. I didn't fully pass my maths. cry.gif

If you are talking about Chemical Engineering which is quite a popular course, minimum requirement wont get you a place.

Yeah its almost futile. My other papers are | General Paper B+ | Chemistry B- | Biology B- | Sigh.

Perak campus is so damn packed. Still accepting intakes? UTAR is going to fall into it's own underdeveloped infrastructure soon.

Im guessing only students that didnt do well in their exam will feel the pinch. laugh.gif

No friend its the other way around. They are making it harder to pass subjects. So those who have pass or above average will be pulled lower. And people who have borderline pass will be tampered to a fail. Making them repeat the subject allover again.

And thanks to the huge seemingly unplanned amount of new intakes. Our poor existing students are shuffled from place to place. I have class in B block and right after that (no break in between) in H block. Thats like ... 3 mins running, 5 mins jogging, 10mins walking there. The student council ain't doing a shit about existing problems. Administration staff are snobbish, but in fact we are the customers, but they treat us like a bunch of zombie cash cows in herds.
