Hola, im from UTAR Setapak y2s1...doing BT..n i soo agree that the science courses r pretty packed..imagine 4 core subjects with additional of minor subs..its like hell..any how, still can cope..okies, adios

3.5 yers? hmm tht shud be better..actually i wouldnt mind even if it was made to 4 years, coz why the rush to graduate,,,at least we'll have more time to explore life as students in a more calmer pace...

yup UTAR was founded by mca but then its run independently without political interference as i know..its a new uni, thus many might be still sceptical. But then again every thing has to start from scrap. Oxford would have been in the same position once too. about the lecturers, malaysian lecturers aint all that bad..i have heard students from every unis be it private, local or foreign uni complain about their lecturers. Its not the lecturers that r the problem actually, its just that every1 has different style of learning and thus might find some lecturer's teaching style not suitable to them. Facilities wise, let's look at what u really want..True, UTAR lacks in some ways, but then it does have adequate facilities for our learning though..We get what we paid for If u want first class facilities, then u might not want to come to UTAR..And about english, well u see, in every uni there r students that r not able to converse well in english..i, b4 entering UTAR,was sceptical about this too. But then seriously, most of my friends r able to converse well and well up till now, all my lecturers teach in English though they might not speak english like how a mat salleh might speak I have seen students who entered UTAR with mediocre english competency during foundation year who now converses fluent and good english..and yes bye bye to the spoon feeding habit

Added on August 9, 2008, 10:54 pmhahahaha,lol, so true..i have seen such students too..thats what they said genius i guess.. sadly im not in tht category.. but then right results arent everything.. i have seen many who r in the president's list and deans list, who cant speak properly n neither can they think out of the box..They r more like book followers, just memorize everything from the book.

haha, i was taught by dr.ramani also, n yup i heard she always scolded one biomed group..though im from biotech grp n she loved my grp so much . .no idea y but then she can be sarcastic if she wants too... n well lecture notes-not easy to memorize everything..n bout form 6, well in my class, mostly those top scorers from foundation are the top scorers now too, not the stpm students..n yes those top scorers are the ones who always sits in front..lol..im a backbencher though

huh, really ah? hmm nvr experienced it b4 but then irritating la, too much of stairs here n there...evrywhere also have to climb stairs..sigh

haha i skippd class today too..lol..got test this wk and from this week till wk 14, got lab test evryweek.. so f to stay at home n study la..btw , is the barlist out?n is the exam schedule out? i tried accessing UTAR website, but couldnt enter.. hmm but i dont skip tutorial classes la..hehe, but as i know for botech, we can join whichever tutorial classes we like..

dont worry, if you meet the rminimum equirements for psychology course, definitely they will offer u your first choice...just fill the rest too so that your form is not rejected as incomplete

oh the malay lecturer damn good one...mr.afi? he taught me tut 4 ps..damn interesting

hmm same lecturer lol..afi was our tutor...the lec loves to check attendance n plus he will call out names..so many of them got caught signing for others...hahaha...but then rite, he is anti gov,pro opp...from last time, he talks about politics only...but he loves to joke...aiyaa don worry bout pm..can get an A without evn studying at all..trust me..just read news paper, know some history n politics..

i think u can find tht info on the website..other than what is written, they do not give for other results..though u can always apply for external scholarships, ptptn or interest free loans...ptptn also only 1% interest now

hhaha so true...they dont have anything to do n r so free..thts why they f a whole day to protest...n thts why their academic standards r very much looked down upon

i dont really think its possible coz usually unis have this credit transfer thing..so they'll allow u to probably be exempted from few subjects, but u f to sit for some subjects of year 1 still

i think save ..hehe..n dr.ramani n tips-far away..she doesnt give tips btw..

Added on August 21, 2008, 6:29 amhmm im an indian n well i f no probs till now though yes many choose to speak in chinese..so u can be left out if u do not speak chinese..but qll my frens r chinese n i f no problem mixing around with them..on facilities wise-i would say mediocre..on quality-well i think UTAR'S education quality is pretty high since we dont have cases of bribery 4 passing (as far s i know), n plus our exams r tough..but if u can afford inti,then why not go there..

YUP REPORTS ARE IMPORTANT IN ADDING MARKS TO UR LAB PAPER (IF u f a separate sub for tht)
