If the syllabus is similar with theirs, maybe u can go straight to 2nd year. If it doesn't, then maybe u will need to take additional subjects. |

QUOTE(Akane @ Aug 17 2008, 06:49 PM) Look forward the new FES in Kampar. It would cost UTAR a lot according to my friend. Imagine how high tech the faculty would be. yes..high tech is the word..LOL...anyways, I think i remember carlson told us that they are moving the equipment from our setapak campus, lil' by lil' already -- to the new campus in kampar. oh btw...congrats to those who have got their desired fyp supervisor. hehe..just to share...i've got mine too -- dr. soon! damn, she's one good one! (and just to add, yes, dr. anthony is a great lecturer...i enjoy studying phytochem under him as he doesn't teach from the slides. He made stories and is really interesting ... of course, there are some time when he's not...but generally he's a good lecturer! as for dr. ramani...ah....i never fancy her teaching style. hehee...) |

Hey guys,
I am torn between choices to go INTI-UC and UTAR Kampar for Biotechnology. INTI fees are almost RM20k higher ( RM 51000 vs RM 30000+ ). I heard INTI has very good co-curicular activities and excellent studying place. UTAR, well I heard alot of stories and myself quite doubtful about the quality of education. Please enlighten me. 1. The facilities (basketball court, badminton court, pool/snooker, cafe etc) 2. Learning facilities (ICT lab, science labs etc) 3. People (very stereotypic such as existance of language orientated groups or races) This post has been edited by carbon14: Aug 20 2008, 08:36 PM |

QUOTE(carbon14 @ Aug 20 2008, 09:32 PM) Hey guys, let me try.. Biotech should be in kampar campus.. Not much entertainment, there's some hypermarket, still building..I am torn between choices to go INTI-UC and UTAR Kampar for Biotechnology. At kampar have UTAR sports complex, so i think should have those normal facilities.. 2. Lab is okay, ICT will still be new since kampar is a new campus. 3. Mostly is chinese speaking community, if you are english speaking(banana), like me, you'll be left behind. Not that they don't make fren with you, but mostly you don't understand when they are talking and etc, sometimes make u feel discomfort as if u don't belong there. Other races mix well, but they usually still grouped themselves. Indian with indian gang, chinese etc... very less malay students. Well, if the fees is affordable for you.. Why don't you go to INTI, since you think inti is better. I tot INTI got a lot of niggas? hope can help.. |

Thanks alot for the feedback!
Because since theres virtually no entertainment, I would rather immerse myself into co-curicular activities. If UTAR has that then it would be my choice, who doesn't wanna save $$? Still got accomodation to pay. Anyone doing this course? I dumped Biotechnology This post has been edited by carbon14: Aug 21 2008, 11:19 PM |

QUOTE(Pmc @ Aug 22 2008, 04:12 AM) No, I want to study Chem Eng. instead of Biotechnology. Yeah I'm a STPM student. The application form guideline says this STPM Student Entry Requirements BSc. Chem. Eng. Minimum 2 principal passes including one Science subject or Maths A-Levels Minimum 2 principal passes including one Science subject and Maths The AND / OR is alot of difference. I didn't fully pass my maths. |
