when car running, alternator is working, not battery.

nothing related with battery when u running with ur engine on. but if battery kong then is the biggest problem to let u start the engine.

just change my car battery myself dunno what happend my car cant start now,when i try to turn the key,all the meter off like no power, half to pull out the key and wait for awhile then only plug in the key back but still cant start the engine, dunnow whats the problem., i using century MF12 NS 70

hi bro, what problems did it give u? latest atf change was my 4th time since i switch from proton atf to diaqueen...i think it's slightly better than proton atf...but have not experienced how good is toyota type IV or synthetic atf....anybody can share more on this?

would love to give type IV a try....anyone can recommend where to get genuine stuff (besides toyota sc)? i hear it's cheaper than diaqueen...

before this, i always use Proton ATF SP3. i have never change brand.
then, a fren recommend to use Mitsubishi Diaqueen.
so, i change la, to see if it's better than Proton SP3.

at that time, my gb was only sometimes jerking and only a little bit.
after changing to diaqueen, the jerking gets worse and sometimes my gb stuck at 3rd gear (TCU engage the "crawl-home mode")
after that, i overhaul the gb la...

mivec-md manual, piping 2.5", of coz la use straight flow muffler. baru la power...
and depending on straight flow muffler, sometimes the growl is too loud. but i like.
if u don't like it too loud, u can add centre bullet in the piping to reduce the sound.

so, no power altogether?
try switching light? ON or not?
if can ON lights, maybe ur starter has problem.
battery old or new?
if new, maybe wiring prob.

just curious, did you somehow get a ciplak/recycled diaqueen? it's funny that it can cause such damage since it is made with the same spec as proton atf and i'm not surprised if proton atf has the same formula as well but manufactured in diff country

coz i bought it from a reliable supplier/fren.

anyway, it already happen..
now i use Pennzoil synthetic ATF, cheaper and quality is good if not better than Proton SP3 and Mitsu Diaqueen.
and i buy it from factory, so no ciplak..

hi guys, just wanna update you all on my brake problem...Previously using Bosch Power Plus.. now changed the pads to Trestor Advantage...the vibrating problem seems to have disappeared...not sure if the pads are still new...just done 3000kms...hope the smooth braking lasts...

i'm hunting for 2nd car with my budget around 25k-35k...so my choice is between waja and perdana....

i'm already aiming for perdana, but many people said go for waja coz perdana is a fuel guzzler and high maintenance....so to clear all my dilemma and confusion, i would like to know the risk and benefit owning a perdana from the owner himself.

so is it true:

perdana is a fuel guzzler?

how much maintenance cost of a perdana, service, sparepart and also yearly expenses such as roadtax and insurance?

can perdana going uphill frequently, as i'm living in cameron highlands and usually outstation to kuantan every week?

should i go for standard perdana or modded one, like TT or evo engine?

i wouldnt recommend u 2 take a perdana, becoz 4 that kinda budget, u'll only be able 2 get a really old model..

i have editted my budget....so what's ur opinion??

I really hope tht someone can help me. I owned a 2005 V6 (enhanced). Mileage is at 102K km. For the past few mths, everytime i start the engine, a loud noise will follow it but moments later it stops. When in motion, if i reach 110kmph-120kmph....it will make tht sound again. Sent it to Proton Service Centre in Bangi....they told me its bcoz of the conerod bearing (is this right) is damaged and it is eating into my drive shaft.

Solution: they need to overhaul the engine and replace the damage parts....total cost = ><RM3K.

Is this the normal cost for this kind of work ? Can somebody suggest any other workshop tht i can go to for 2nd opinion? by the way....i'm staying in Bandar Baru Bangi.

Really thinking of letting go my Perdana, although rasa cam sayang la pulak...too much cost to bare la

i don't know if its true that the conrod bearing is causing the sound or not.
but i dont think conrod bearing will have anything to do with ur driveshaft.
conrod bearing is connected to conrod. driveshaft is a long way from a conrod. no direct connection...



the numbers 9,10,11,12 is conrod bearing.
and the whole thing is a conrod.

bcoz ppl always compare perdana fuel consumption with myvi, wira, waja consumption.
if any other 2.0 car copare with perdana, its about the same.
perdana full tank 64L can go about 720km on hiway, 500km in town.
its bloody good enough for me.
and u get a big, comfortable car.
