I'm sorry if this question has been posted before. I'll be flying to Perth via air asia this sunday. From what i understand from their website, they charge rm 15 for every kg in excess of the 25kg i have bought during booking (i intend to get an extra 15kg if that is true). Did i get my facts right? And does anyone know what is the maximum baggage allowance? I tried calling airasia numerous times but their lines are always busy.

KLIA-East project will add cost to the tickets. Why not just utilize the under-utilized KLIA? Wouldn't that be cheaper than building a whole new airport? What will happen to LCCT then? Leave it there to rot?

The other thing is it's even further away from the city.

I really don't know mah. First time flying AA to chiang mai. Lost rm 100.  cry.gif

I don't have credit card, how to book via internet ? Can u lend me your credit card ? I pay you cash in return.  laugh.gif

They accept debit card or not ?
*
Yes they do. But for debit card, they only accept Visa Electron and Debit Mastercard / Mastercard Electronic. This is stated in AirAsia website. I ever successful using Public Bank Visa Electron card to purchase MAS and AirAsia ticket online. Both of this airline company accept my card via internet as the card already have the 'Verified By Visa' feature. For public bank, you have to register for "Verified By Visa" for all VISA card including VISA ELECTRON before making any internet transaction, or the transaction will fail.

KLIA east will REDUCE cost and is nearer than LCCT or KLIA, KLIA EAST is about 30min while LCCT/KLIA is about 45min
KLIA is too small for Airasia's fleet, maybe firefly can use lcct if they wanna expand tongue.gif

I think why not they make KLIA bigger than now. try to expand it and make it as an international hub. Lets say if low cost airlines wanna fly there, they have an option to use or not to use aerobridge. i know aerobridge is costly but at least they have a choice. Its same like ROME. MAS dont use aerobridge when thy fly there coz the fee is expensive. Aircraft can park at the tarmack(how to spell this huh?) I just dont know why. We should protest like what london people do. They try to change the ecosystem...damn..all hutan kena tebang..I hate This Part Right Here

you have to ask mahb and finance ministry first
mahb charge too much for airasia to use the aerobridge or the main terminal,
i guess their landing cost are same as mas even they using lcct
and mahb give promotion in landing cost for new foreign airline to attract them.
problem in malaysia is we need aerobridge or a fully covered walkway with aircond
weather too hot and always raining

Friend booked a trip on Air Asia involving 4 international sectors, opting for insurance. Unfortunately, he broke his leg a about 10 days before departure. He was treated at the hospital, got a medical letter, sent home to recover. He has great difficulty walking around even inside the house. Of course no trip.

When Air Asia's insurance agent was contacted, they told him no claim allowed because he was NOT HOSPITALIZED, did not stay overnight in the hospital!

If you must have any insurance, check the hidden T&C.

The cabin crew should respect the passengers. Before, I saw AirAsia claim five star services in the newspaper advertisement after they started giving RM200 vouchers for passengers affected by flight delay.

AirAsia 5 stars? wahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.........wa hahaha! biggrin.gif don't make me laugh.

I already started laughing when I saw '5 stars' on their advertisement on newspaper. They never received any 5-stars ranking from skytrax or similar organization. MAS, SIA, Asiana, Cathay Pacific, Kingsfisher, and Qatar airways done a lot of things to earn 5 stars ranking from skytrax. Skytrax give AirAsia 3 stars ranking already considered too much. For me, I give them no star.

I'm not complaining. I just hate people have 'thick face' or 'che da pao' (Chinese). Means a man should not praise himself handsome when nobody say him handsome. Same with a company, they should not claim themself 5 -stars if nobody give them 5-stars award.

the only thing that i'm pissed off with airasia is they always change the flight time without any notice... have experienced this a lot for the KL - labuan or labuan - KL flight... and when i bought labuan - kl ticket (travelling on july 09) last year, i booked for the night flight... now when i checked again, they only have morning flight, cancelled the night one... and it's 745am!!! i don't want to fly to LCCT the night before and stay there all night long to wait for the flight anymore... so damn tiring and suffering... in the end, i bought MAS ticket for my next sem break trip back home... cost me RM 216 for return trip... a really good deal!!!!

ya,agree, they always do that, giving excuses like technical problem or they didn't even give the reason at all!!! they just tell you the flight has been delayed, and all I can do after I heard that is to give them an unhappy face.

So far, I don't really believe what they said. I'm not a person who will easily believe other people. Sometimes, when there is no enough passengers, the mouth is theirs and they can say anything such as 'technical problems', or something else. Of course, I have no evidence on that.

airasia tend to have delay for the night flight... so far, i only experienced one delay and it's a night flight... i wish they added the night flight for kl - labuan/ labuan - kl route again... the morning flight is so unconvenient for those staying at other states like me...

and some of their ground staff are rude and not friendly to the passengers... especially those in LCCT... maybe it's because of the long queue, fussy m'sian passengers and damn crowded check in area.. =p

reason night flights have more delays if because of accumulated delays from its day flights. As its point to point, and they fly non stop with a 20 minutes turnaround, lateness will accumulate and flights that depart in the evening and night will experience delay due to the snowballing effect.

To be on the safe side, if you're scared about delays book your flights that depart early in the morning. And if you're looking to transit, i always take the latest flight that comes to KL, then the earliest flight out to KL.
