That's why AA emphasize on online tciketing..No need to rent the expensive Sentral office & no need any employees to man those counters mah....

The even having skeleton staff at their customer service side, thus whoever try to call AA will be lucky if can hold on the line for 30min, if not 1 hr also cannot get connected!!

This is what we called Budget peanut airline liao...

Anyone know if you have prepurchased your check in baggage, let's say 15kg, can you later upgrade it to 25kg? Will the pre purchased 15kg money I paid being forfeited?

For the 15kg, they only count on the weight? not numbers of baggages? Can I check in more than 1 bag?

The price u pre-booked should stayed. Anything above 15kg u need to pay based on the schedule fee in their website.

Yes u can check-in multiple bags provided the total per pAX NOT EXCEEDING 15kg

If you mean to upgrade via online, AA will calculated different price from 15kg bag for you to pay.

BTW, MAS too failed me on my recent trip to Taiwan!! Cheapo and no frill is 1 thing. BUT not even doing the basic is unacceptable. change flight time many, many times OK CHEAP ma. no choice BUT change already and NEVER INFORM PASSENGER ah that is NOT a frill. That is BASIC REQUIREMENT.

I see many cases flight become earlier never inform then when pax try to check in flight already gone and AA say not their prob??

My flight changed 2, 3 times. last time no notification at all. I use online chat ask why. The Genius there copy and paste term n conditions bout flight change time to answer me. I tol him don't try to intimidate me by doing that I can read and understand English very well unlike him/her cos obvioulsy can't even understand my question which is why no notification and not can they retime flights?

Then AA agent said u can change booking to another flight.
I said if i not notified how am i supposed to change my flight? rclxub.gif

AA Genius say please submit online feeback form. Great! just bloody Great.

As i said Cheap is 1 thing but this is not even no frill basic thing also not doing.

Did u put in your HP number when u book yr booking ? cos they only notify us by SMS on any changes. Anyway, it is advisable to check your booking again i.e. logging into their website , a day before depature. hmm.gif

Sayang! tat is exactly the point email ada, hp# pun ada. Of course i made sure all have then only go ask them why no contact me. AA tak tahu guna only.
That is why i tol them i give u all the info why still never inform.

But what pissed me off was the genius agent. try to bluff his/her way out. Then they should include in the terms they copy and paste "PASSENGERS MUST CHECK FLIGHT AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE BECAUSE AIR ASIA CAN CHANGE ANY TIME THEY LIKE WITHOUT NOTIFICATION OF ANY KIND AND IF PASSENGER MISSES THE FLIGHT THEN EAT BA-NA-NA THAT WILL BE ADDED TO AA FOOD SALE LIST IN THE NEAR FUTURE" whistling.gif

wth..called whole day the call center and nobody pick up?i need to amend my name because typo error! wth..none of the officer pick up my phone...

This airline plays dirty.
Wanna know how they are able to have the lowest cost per km budget airline ?
When there are not many passengers, they will roll the passengers onto the next flight.
Now you knw why their planes r always 'late'.

Customers in european budget airlines will never settle for this type of treatment. No wonder they are the 'best' in asia. And not in terms of customer service unfortunately.

That wan also very common...Those frequent AA customers also experienced this b4 inc me..haha....

Well, sometime I took opportunity once they switch my timing...I will call them if they switch me to later flight & ask them to switch to earlier time...Well it's works on my 2008 flight to Macau..manage to switch to super early flight rather than late Evening flight..save my precious time...(My ori was Afternoon flight!..

Damn.. a few hrs ago i booked a trip to hk.. i mistakenly clicked the wrong flight time. So I went to 'manage my booking.' I successfully changed the time! BUT... they freakin charged me a whopping RM 360 just for the amendment! WTF.. I had no choice, called the customer service but it keep direct me to the online bookings. Then called my bank to cancel the flight (cant, got to deal directly with AA) so.. its an expensive lesson for me, got to live with it.

RM10 per KG.

You can exceed 15KG check in luggage. You just need to pay the difference at RM10/KG. if its 17KG, then you pay RM20.00.
You can pay while checking in the luggage. They will issue you an invoice and direct you to a counter to pay.

It's normal. The ticket you bought is not refundable. It's a budget flight.
So must plan properly and make a booking as early as possible to enjoy all the low rates.

Clicking on wrong time is ok.

But when they prompt you to CONFIRM everything before making the payment, then u r truly dum dum lo. icon_question.gif

And when you change the time, they would have quoted you the NEW PRICING and again, reconfirm your PAYMENT.

And you have NO IDEA you're being charged????
