2 feet tank i think still can be reach by a Syrian. I used to have one dwarf hamster, a WW i think. the woman is a rambo man, every morning would climb up the box, plus the lid, plus minus about 2 feet plus. jump down from the cabinet, that alone already 4 feet always run to the fridge.

Shasha jumped down from a 2 feet tank which is on a plastic chair. That's about 3-4 feet high.

I lost my Shasha today when I came back from gathering. I don't know how she can escape or missing, but I really sad when I can't find her in the tank.

I miss her so much and really hope for miracle that she will come back to us. Or else I really hope someone who can take good care of her.

Will miss you - Shasha..... My girl...

I know how's your feeling, I just lost one of my boy just around the eve of CNY ... he ran far far away from me at the backlane of my house sad.gif

Anyway I think there's still some hope to get her back as long as your apartment dont have slight space to let her squeeze away from the apartment, try to do focus searching room by room, after fin searching one room then just close the door tight and that will tighten your range smile.gif It just takes some time and patience to finds her back!

Last time my girl squeeze into the cabinet role, and I spent nearly 2 hours to lure her out and catch her smile.gif

My hammies still not eating food sad.gif Or at least the amount of food is still the same and the amount of kuaci is still the same as the amount I put in the food bowl for them

Already removed the treats stick as per Reanne's suggestion, and I noticed this morning that the mineral salt had a small chunk chewed off. So I removed that as well, leaving only basic staple food and water. Don't see any difference sad.gif

They can't be that fussy over what sort of food is given to them, right?

Maybe you should change the brand of food. What are you feeding them now?

Robos don't really bloat like a pear, but you can see the bulge.

Oh dear, you lost her in your home? It is possible to get her back. I would suggest a rat cage.... but sometimes you can catch back easily as Syrians will come out for food at night. Keep looking, I hope you find Shasha back. Good luck.

QUOTE(anbusan @ Feb 20 2008, 09:59 AM)

What staple are you using? Sometimes it could be the food..... maybe stale, not enough variety, plain boring.... as you have been feeding treats to them, they have lost the taste for their normal staple food.

Don't lose hope. I've lost two dwarfs before this. One week later one turned up outside her cage, sleeping soundly (probably starving as...) the second was found sleeping in a kitchen cupboard!

Living World/Habitrail Staple.

As above. I won't say there's no variety or its boring. It's got quite a bit of variety in there. I mean, I never had any feeding problems with my 2 Syrians. I fed them plain pellets + kuaci and they were happy enough with those.

As for my 2 WWs, I only gave them the treats recently. Even before the treats their eating habits were already worrying me. They ate soooooooooooooo sparingly. Sure, they're small, but... even when my Syrians were that size they were gluttons already. So that got me worried. At least seeing them bite and snack on the treats made me feel a little less worried, but I cannot be feeding them treats forever.

Will try that only as a last resort... I hate buying bread as I usually can't finish the whole pack alone.
