so guys, if you have one hammy, and it dies.. will get another one or stop your hobby..or you dont care if it dies?

Hmmm.... It really depends for me. If I found great joy in having the hammie and would love to cotinue giving love to the hammies, then I would get another.

If I find that the reason why I have hammies in the first place is gone, then nah, no more.

I will be SSSOOOOOOOOOOOO sad if my hammies died. I cried for one day when Rump died. I visited him everyday for a week and still sometimes now.

hello all, how many times do i need to feed my hammie everyday? 2times? 3 times? and on what basis? i usually feed them at evening and morning, am i doing alright?
i know i cant feed them fresh vegetable regularly but how about some fruit? (pear, apple etc)

btw, my hamster is campbell type

You can feed them twice a day. I usually put 2-3 teaspoon of Prestige per hamster. Once in the morning and once in the evening.

You can feed them apples, guava, etc. But not citrus fruits like orange, lemon, etc.

slowly let your hammy familiarize with your scent..
dont rush it ok?

What hamster do you have?
You can try giving your hamster a treat when s/he tries to bite you, so that s/he will be busy eating instead of biting you.

I did that with my syrian and now it doesn't bite me anymore after it get more tamed.

That is why I asked what hamsters he got.

My syrians either eat on the spot or swallow into cheek pouch.

am so sad, all the babies dead when this afternoon. 5 of them. I also dunno y this happen. some part of babies eaten by the mummy. gross.. others 3 are cold n hard..confirm death ...sigh
mayb the mummy too young and do not know how to take care of her babies..? the mummy juz 3-4mth olds
too many babies ? stress?

her grandma are good. she give birth to 3 of them and now healthy young hamsters. (incl the mummy)

hope can get more babies soon.
