Got the stocks for our 4 boys from Joan this evening by COD with her # jtl: Thanks for your great service for COD with us this evening. Good luck in your sale and will continue support you and your shop Added on January 11, 2008, 12:28 am QUOTE(holyghost @ Jan 10 2008, 09:08 PM) here's a pic made by my gf. Maybe you can try with the Habitrial Safari and Ovo tubes and connectors as it is big enough for Syrians. You can get it from all the big Pet shops like Pet Safari (Ikano), Pets Lover Center (Sunway Pyramid), or also can check out junnie87 for some Hammies stuffs.[attachmentid=376108] Added on January 10, 2008, 9:27 pmbtw, am planning to make tube tunnels for my syrian girl. what size is suitable for syrian? There's still have one of the Habitrail Safari Wheel in one the pet stall in Giant Cheras. It's cost aroung RM16-Rm18 if I'm not mistaken. No more stock after all the left over sold, according to the shop keeper as well.
#Enferno: Get all same sex for your robos. Buy a 2 feet tank is better as those pet shop people will recommend u to buy Habitrail Mini, playground or Safari, but my experience will advise you for a 2 feet tank. Go to Pet Shack for the tank as they'll drill a hole for the water bottle. Get your hamster stuff from there, I think they should have enough choices for you. Or else go to Pet Lover Center in Sunway Pyramid but the price will be bit more expensive. Do not get the package things from a pet stall cos they'll only give you cheap or low quality stuffs although you can get it much more cheaper and complete but not good for hamster. Will suggest you to get those as listed below as I'm currently have 2 robos too - 2 feet tank - Prestige Hamster food - Habitrail water bottle - Food bowl x2 (1 for mixed food & 1 for fresh veges) - (suggest to u for 2 as I'll prefer to pt 2 kind of food separately for hygienic purposes) - Bedding - Breeder Celect / Corncobs / Healthy Pets recycle paper bedding / Timothy hay (this can use as bedding, food and cover smells) <remember do not get pine wood shavings> - Wheel (Habitrail Safari Wheel / Silent wheel - A hamster toilet - Toilet or litter sand - Bathing sand - Some tubes and connectors (if you wanna give them some fun with tubes) - go for the Habitrail Mini tubes You can look at my attached pic as get a rough idea how its look like: you can also add some other accessories as u get a 2 feet tank as its spacious enough to do so. Good luck for you Added on January 13, 2008, 10:39 am QUOTE(frostfox @ Jan 12 2008, 10:53 PM) buy a package cage where they give hamster bottles, cage, sometimes food, wheel and maybe some extras..buy a ball also just for fun for your hamster..Buy the cat litter bedding and buy some normal hamster food but you must also feed him with some frwesh stuff..thats all i think..Go to Mid Valley or some local pet shops to get the hamster stuff..usually i go there and its the cheapest.. I strongly discourage to support big pet shop like the one in MV cos its very bad conditions for all the hamsters and the pets as well. Worse I've seen This post has been edited by sangels: Jan 13 2008, 10:39 AM |

QUOTE(NewbieBetta @ Jan 13 2008, 11:24 AM) No it's not Pet Safari in Taman Megah. Pet Safari is in Ikano. That is Pets Family in Taman Megah. The ground floor is more for aquatic pets whereas the 1st floor is for cat, dogs, birds and small animals. But sadly their small animals accessories are quite limited if compared to Pets Lover Center in SP. But you can get all the Habitrail stuffs there as they have a lot there. Yes! I never seen that in any pet shop so far. Commonly sell in pet shop is cinnamon banded, golden banded. Among the 30-40 baby syrians maybe you can find few cream banded or sable banded. Hardly see the rest. I'm also very lucky to have a black banded from a pet shop, and it cost me a lot

Easy to clean and lots of place for them also |

QUOTE(Enferno @ Jan 16 2008, 12:34 AM) to all hamsters lover, i'm in this club d... today went to pet shack to check out their hams. the lady said they dun have much stock left. I'm a lucky man, i managed to get 2 Robos. Welcome to the club... had some wild spending though: Habitrail Safari( which i think the robo will not slip out of the cage) Habitrail bottle(with a fancy clip) Prestige Hamster food bedding Delikate Breeder Celect -cat litter Delikate sand bath Bengy hamster litter and of course- 2 cute Roborovskis i will try to post some photo later..they are still trying to learn the new environment. Don't worry, they will not be able to slip out from the cage cause my robos still not able to do that yet...kekeke... I also want Breeder Celect!!!! Where you gonna put the toilet sand for them? You should get a ceramic bowl or a corner toilet as they like to dig and sleep inside, and they pee and poo inside too. The Sanko wheel is about RM70+ as it is more expensive than out 2ft tank and Jackjack is able to climb up to the lid of the tank using the wheel and this make us change to ZooZone2 isnt the safari wheel already good enough for syrian? or there are something wrong with safari wheel? Added on January 16, 2008, 9:32 pm QUOTE(sOuLx @ Jan 15 2008, 04:29 PM) habitrail going to stop the safari production right? Too bad that there's no Sanko wheel selling in KL pet shops as we already went to almost all big pet shops as small pet shop will not have it too cause its expensive. We bought the last one from Pets Lover Center in SP i'm going to find a new wheel for montee too.. i hope there's sanko wheel around here.. KP is doing bulk for wodent wheel which cost around rm70-80 i think.. Maybe you can try looking for it in Singapore if you happen to be there like what Missgeek did This post has been edited by sangels: Jan 16 2008, 09:39 PM |

QUOTE(jtl @ Jan 17 2008, 10:37 PM) Just wondering, do you just soak it in normal water or you rinse it off properly? If you use a lot of soap, soaking it in normal water may not totally wash off the soap and the residue would be harmful for the hammies. |

QUOTE(GodLuvSxS @ Jan 18 2008, 07:00 PM) OMG does it really bother you that I seek for cheaper alternative but with better nutrition, I stated there if possible I hope it's cheaper, I did not said it's a must to get cheap one. I'm not looking to start a flamewar, but please try to be considerable! Let me give my suggestion here. You buy a cheaper brand hamster mixed and prestige and mix it together. Prestige is around RM18-RM19 per packet, it can last for few months as I have 2 robos and 2 Syrians. The packet I bought in November still left about half packet. You can also buy some fresh vege from places like Tesco or Carefour to feed them as it's cheap and high in nutri. Pack the fresh vege with air lock bag and keep in the fridge and it will be fresh even after a week. You can also give fruits when you have yours. Small hamster don't eat that much right? Give just a nice portion and not too much so that don't waste. You can try that as I feel that's quite economic also. |

What kind of hamster first? Please don't go and wash your hamster with hamster shampoo or any kind of shampoo.
Dwarfs can try sand bath. Get a deep bowl and put bathing sand inside and put inside the cage. Or put the dwarfs in a small tank with some bathing sand inside for about 10-15 minutes. Syrian will groom itself but can try sand bathing in the small tank also. But syrian are not the bath sand kind of hamsters. |
