dammit... im so embrassing... sweat.gif doh.gif

while i was happy and started to use my DA mastercard, whose know the transaction did not Honour...

have to use another CC to pay the thing. sweat.gif

then called the DA SC again... to ask what is happening to my card.

then the SC told me that my card is not yet activated? sweat.gif sweat.gif i was calling them on this morning, can choose to activate the Mastercard, then the SC say there is not such thing. Normally is both card activated together and advised me that if i wish to cancel my visa card, i have to write in to inform them.

so the SC told me that it's activated immediate for both card.

then again i ask how about the Secure E-pay? can i register now instead of waiting until the next day morning 8am according to the second SC. then she told me again, there is no such thing, once my card is activated i can register NOW... again, im feel cheated by the second SC... he din even help me check... giving me the fake statement. doh.gif

Argh.... my first day of DA is spoilled by the 1st SC... telling me all the fake/un-true statement.... vmad.gif

Next time, i shd ask their name, their employee number before proceed with my questions... calling them cost me money.... wasted for calling while getting wrong information....

anyways, the third SC is very helpful. hope she not wrong again.

If the card doesnt works, usually its not your card problem..

If u want to "keep face" just scold the cashier and say your card confirmed working at other shop.

Shouldn't be. They'll be more than happy to charge you with the annual fees if you forgot to cancel the cards and the free annual fee period is up.

in the statement that came along with the card, it has stated that i need to sign and activate the card immediately..but may i ask how? am i required to call the bank for activation or just swipe it at any outlet for activation(just as citibank)

ps: i've read the cardholder agreement but still no clues on what to do

Hello all, I am new to here. Currently having two VISA cards from Public Bank and Citibank respectively, to be specific both are supplementary cards provided by my sister. As I am still a student and not working, can't apply one for myself. smile.gif
She told me that she wanted to cut off the Public Bank CC and replace me another one with higher credit limit, as my credit limit for PB is only RM 3k, sometimes not enough to pay for one semester tuition fees. sad.gif
Citibank has slightly a higher credit limit but she wants to get me 2 cards for emergency purpose and for this new card, I plan to get MasterCard instead. Any bank that can recommend to me? With lots of benefits and free gifts? laugh.gif Typical Malaysian I am. blush.gif

Thanks in advance, so that I can let my sister knows and she can apply for me. biggrin.gif

Sign the card at the back and call the bank to activate the card. It's that simple, really. I'll be worried if the card is pre-activated

Look for roadshows promos and it should be free. (In fact, current SCB promos will give you 3 years free) If they charge you joining fee, do you still wanna apply ? Better you look for other banks which does not charge you.

What benefits are you looking for ? blink.gif I suggest you forgo the free gifts part and stick to the main objective which is to get a good card for yourself. If a bank (Won't disclose which bank) give you generous sign-up gifts (maybe up to RM500) and an additional RM50 voucher after approval but customer service so-so only + charges extra fees for overseas spending - would you still want to apply? Even a higher credit limit objective is a better pursuit than free gift - be more realistic my friend. whistling.gif

Foreign banks would be better as compared to local banks.

If u apply online then u will get either a bag or thumbdrive.
If u apply from salesman in shopping center it will be different gift.

All petrol station doesnt give points anymore...except the latest Citibank Shell and UOB BHP giving rebate..
The only card that gets points in petrol station is Maybank Amex credit card

is PLEASE PRESENT CARD... i thinks.

anyways, just now tried my PayPass with my KFC nearby. tried to place my card at PayPass terminal for 2 times also failed.. doh.gif

ended, use the normal way. have to sign. and the Cashier seem dun know how to handle credit card payment... rclxub.gif

next time, let's educate the un-trained cashier...ask them to activate the terminal... rclxub.gif
