Yes, if you have an Amex with 2X points, it's very easy to get something quite nice without spending so much money compared to other banks. rclxms.gif

If you pay your bills using M2U or buy prepaid top-up using Maybank ATM card above RM30, you will also collect 5 points for that transaction. icon_idea.gif

Using this method will be very slow.

I was suprised... my citibank agent who helped me applying the citibank credit card called me yesterday... he said my application is still under processing. that time when i called in to check the application, the hotline support told me that my application was rejected... i think she had made the mistake that she was referring to the application that i submitted in Aug... which i cancelled it before the outcome was out...

haha.. so still got chance for my citibank credit card application... hopefully it will be successful though it has been more than 1 & 1/2 mths for my application...

i heard ppl said for HSBC credit card, in the case of fraud, if u do not report earlier than the fraud, u die die will need to pay the fraud, is this true?

Usually they won't and they'll ask you clear all your outstanding.

Worst come to worst, you call the hotline by reporting a stolen or lost card case. tongue.gif

That's right, pay up outstanding, and no they won't charge you. They also have a whole department called card retention that will call you and try to tempt you to stay with waivers and freebies thumbup.gif

I've never heard of such case, to own a classic and a gold for the same card in the same bank. Why would you want to do that? You could ask them to downgrade your card for lower annual fees.

Oh really? If my card is lost/stolen, they'll do the above. Free replacement card plus the above will be amazing. rclxms.gif

hey, I heard RHB or Hong Leong bank credit cards are only 6.X% interest per annum? Why is it so much less compared to our usual 18% per annum?

Thanks for the feedbacks.

I've paid all my outstanding balance then cancelled the card. They gave me a photocopy CC cancellation form. So I'll keep it as prove of my cancellation. And hopefully the bank will never contact me for anything relate to $$ tongue.gif

How long you take to cancel the card? Did you need to bring any documents?

For me, I went to the counter, payed my outstanding balance and told them I want to cancel my card. They gave me form to fill in, then they punched holes on the chip and magnetic stripe of the CC, and photocopy the completed form with the card on top.
