im going to go for EN8800GT TOP... is it worth buying now or wait for GF9...? friggin' hard to decide..
i already can't wait to play Crysis,UT3 and my  CSsource in max settings..
*
I think asus TOP is one of the high flying 8800GT's in the market. Tell you what bro, wait till 9 series out, people get crazy and sell their 8800GT's cheap in garage sale. brows.gif

before on stock cooler idle@ 68 load can upto 93
btw im using asus 8800gt top.
how did u get so low on ur s1?any fan attached?
*
my zotac with s1 using cap ayam 2x 90mm fan... your fn91 is good stuff.
Most probably it's the thermal paste not applied properly.....perhaps u need to apply it again.
My thermal paste in S1 is stock bcos lazy to reapply. Check ur casing airflow too.
Do a quick atitool artifact scan before n after reapplication then see what happens.
Mine 49C after 10 minutes, idles at 44C.

If there is a card that perform 50% faster then 8800GT then crysis will run 40fps above with it haha.
Maybe the 9800GT? No infos bout this card yet.
*
I think 50% faster also not enuff for 22' display sweat.gif
If using d10x at max settings, framerates drops to 15fps during certain action scenes.
Crysis requirement is crazy!

play crysis at 22" 1680x1050 high setting on dx9, the lowest i've seen is 8fps! it's at the part close to end of games.
but mostly around 30+ fps.

Mine on average was only 20+ FPS.
I guess I don't have enough of RAM and slow processor.

Most notice lag of crysis is when the frost beam broke out and freeze the doctor inside the cave....I'm playing in DX10 mode.

Perhaps Crysis is striped down game from the crytek supercomputer edition?

Read Page 4 of the article, basically the original shroud has a fan hole that's too small for the case fan they use, so they took it off and made a shroud out of cardboard with a bigger hole.

I left the setting as it is. Anyway I have tried adjusting the fan speed, seems like no difference (no increasing fan sound, if you get what i mean)

I leave the fan as it is too. Not sure if it's at 100%, but the card's pretty silent so didn't bother checking

to sotong168: i think riva tuner cannot adjust the gigabyte 8800gt turboforce Fanspeed.
