flashed mine too, but the funny thing is the temp is a bit higher than before. now around 70C leh..sweat.gif how come?
performance wise i think pretty much the same, i benchmarked with 3dmark06, and the score same with 8800gt score.
now gonna go try pes2008, see whether does it solve my artifacts problem.tongue.gif

this is the original EVGA SC 9800GT bios.

http://www.mvktech.net/components/com_joom...800_GT__SC_.rom

and this is the moded bios by me.

740/1850/1960.

http://rapidshare.com/files/142009271/9800gt1.rar.html

if you find unstable with the moded one , just stick back the evga sc 9800gt.

remember flash at your own risk tongue.gif

you mean at 600/1500/1800?
runs ok, without problems. artifacts appear just only for that game. flashed back to 8800gt and checked the temp. about 10C less than what it was when running 9800gt bios. how come? but in the case of soul_screamer his is cooler wor..

why are you guys trying to flash the 8800gt bios to a 9800gt?

i doubt you'll be able to notice any difference since the cards are virtually the same.

besides, if you do it wrong, you could mess it up completely, no?

yes i agree with what you said. this has been discussed before previously. nobody said that bios flashing is a very safe thing to do.
but you know us here, always wanting to keep up with tech and time, so since it can be updated to a newer version, why not. besides, it also gives you some bragging rites laugh.gif

for me , I flash it because i found it was more stable.

like using 760mhz core on 8800gt bios , I cant get fully stable on COD4 while using 9800GT bios , it makes me stable.

thats it laugh.gif
