anyone has an idea where i can find xfx 8800gt xxx?its clock at 670 right?

hi i am using palit original 8800GT.Shld i change the thermal paste for better performance?Currently my idle - 51C load - 62C at 600/1500/1800.

if u would like to overclock somemore, then yes.
the temp is already cool at load so i think you dont have to spend on aftermarket cooler.

wanna ask, do you guys use brand software to monitor 8800gt's temperature and so on? for example, im using asus 8800gt, so i install asus smart doctor to check out the gc condition.

May i know whether can use other software other than the brand provided wan? if yes then which i can use? Nvidia Ntune?

ps. just for checking temperature, not for OC.

nTune can be use too but most people are using RivaTuner Hardware Monitoring. Everest Ultimate also provide a lot of info of your Graphics Card.

Use rivatuner, schedule and control ur fan speed manually with rules to control ur temp better

What problem i facing now is, im experiencing some monitor screen hanging starts yesterday [mean system is still running, but screen hang], i dunno what happen but i suspect either is my gc [overheat? my gc can go 60+C idle] or modem, but i will try update my gc softwares first, and see what happen, after that if still persists then i will try install rivaturner.

Correction dude.
The 8800GT aint a waste. It's your processor that's bottlenecking the system.
If i'm not mistaken Crysis is quite a processor-reliant game.
Upgrade the processor to a dual core.
I can play Crysis on 1440x900 without a hitch.

I got 8006 3dmark2006 score.

I think my score is kind of too low compare to 10k+ that show by official. Do you guys think that overclocking the graphic card will help?

Do report ur experiences with VHQ here. I've heard that VHQ looks similar to HQ.

you should oc ur proc to 3ghz above to get 10k

well, the problem is i can't even get that resolution due to 17" LCD which only allows 1280x1024 max.
yea the proc bottlenecked the game a bit but i still got playable fps (18-23).
I'm just saying my 88gt is a waste on a 17" LCD.


here's the report.
nope, the graphics are reaaallly different from high setting. from VHQ i can get the wave (ombak) to become much realistic. the car track on the beach, and the sunray is also much prettier. not to mention the shades is much more cantik.
and the best part is...i still get the same fps as HQ setting. eeyahhuuuuuu!!! now after my Q6600 arrive the game will look absolutely wonderful, with higher fps, yes.

can i use 8800gt which is pcie 2.0 with my pcie 1 mobo..?

why would it be a waste? can u pump up AA at high quality and ALWAYS get more than 30fps?

coz i cant go higher than 1280x1024 resolution.
im using 4x AA right now, got that fps. gonna wait for my Q6600 for me to max out AA.
