Hi i got problem for my parcel.

Okay first thing first. My parcel is a CD from japan. & d shipping method is thru SAL.
Now 1st prob is no tracking number but i got order number.
I receive an email tat my cd is already shipped out on 25 Nov 2013.
2nd prob is till now my parcel is not yet arrive.
I called pos malaysia , they said they can't track for me.

So how?? Am i going to call Kastam? or any other option??
Or anyone can help me??

Recently won a bit at ebay.us then i paid them and they delivery the winning bid item (Mobile Phone). Then the parcel kena tahan by the kastam (IPOH), they send me a letter or the phone will be confiscated if no additional info are provided to them.

So i went there and they say i have no AP to import those phone. They say unless i have AP to import the item then they will release.

Is anyone out there can help?

herm...yup.. I called but they said they cant trace. probably i have to wait. or prepare for worst.

AP (approval permit) is needed to import large quantity of electronic product....
for small quantity you need a SIRIM approval...

Guys, need help on Custom clearance questions.

I always heard that RM500 is the maximum amount inclusive shipping cost if order things like Hobby Stuff from Japan if wanna escape the Custome Tax/Charges.

I also contacted the Custom at West Malaysia through phone just now and yes, it's RM500 on barang cukai.

However, last time when I ordered something from Hobbylink Japan on some gunpla, it went through well on West Malaysia custom.
FYI, the amount i ordered with shipping fee only around RM195.

But then when it reach my hometown at Miri, Sarawak @ East Malaysia, it was kenak tahan by Poslaju Custom and I went to Poslaju and asked them why?

They said policy different story in Sarawak and cannot exceed RM200 else 10% charge. I was like "what the!? "
Lucky my thing doesn't exceed RM200 and I can see from their reaction like "Aiyah, cannot receive some extra $$$".

So I need to find a proof for the custom policy on Sarawak so next time I won't kenak con again.
Anyone has any idea ?
I called the custom malaysia but they also like bo leng bo juak one, saying that they no idea and keep tell me story like reading from a script, no Sarawak Custom contact number ...

took me 3 hours to settle and pay rm230 for taxes...swt

So many horror stories.
I want to ask. I will be buying speaker parts; 2 4 inch transducers, 2 terminal cups, and 2 twin banana plugs. They are passive electrical components. The cost including shipment shouldn't reach RM500 too, but the transducers are said to be non-taxable according to them.

I have contacted an officer directly via e-mail and it was pretty informative, and at worst with all the tax it would reach nearly RM600 (if somehow the transducers are put in a different category that can be taxed), which is fine by me. Any way they can 'screw' me and charge me extra, or confiscate them for some reason?

I have ordered two figures from Japan. The seller used SAL with no tracking number.

My item weighs about 1.3kg each so the seller packaged the two figures separately and ship both at the same time.

However, only one of the package reached me. So now I'm scratching my head why only one package reach me as the seller told me he shipped both item into separate boxes at the same time.

The value of the item is about RM150 each so I don't think it is held by customs as the other similar figure passed through. By logic if one package reach me, the other should be together as it came from the same place at the same time.

So my guess is the other package got loss somewhere. Since I've got no tracking number, how can I confirm where the other package is?

i bought quite a few figurines from japan with total value arnd RM 850.. ordered 2 batches, similar value each, both from Japan..
1 box reach me safely and another, Poslaju Berhad sent me a letter saying the item has been detained by Customs, KLIA.

Both boxes contains similar items, all figurines, some of it normal, some of it moe and stuff, those collectibles otaku merchs but none R18..

my question is, will customs confiscate those items when they open the box and check it???

and normally how much is the import duty? 5%

I got a consignment arrived from US , when i tracked it, it says its still under customs inspection.. but usually how long they'll inspect it ? Its been there since 10th september.. n now is alrdy 22 sept, Still no notice or nothing.. i called the pos service , they said once the customs released it they will send it over... n gave me a number to call n check.. when i called no body is answering it. i think its the post cargo number.
Does any1 have any idea.. ?

You can call the 8777xxxx number, it is Pos Malaysia Custom Service Department, usually after 2nd day of hold your shipment you will receive a call, or worse come to worse you can send your authorized agent to clear the item for you, usually need to pay the handling fee. But normally I do myself to clear the item.

how do u clear it by urself? Who can i contact to represent me ? Any contacts ?
The num u gave 8777 was the num i called for weeks.. no answer at all...
