Hi guys. Anyone here has the experience of purchasing things from Japan and shipping using EMS?

I wanna buy 4 figures from Japan and the total price is around RM490+. The dimensions are around 30cm x 20cm x 20cm if they stack it properly and the weight is less than 1.5kg. Does it look too big to "attract" custom's attention?

Should I request the seller to underprice the item or label it as "Gift"? Does doing this help anyway to avoid from being held by custom?

after digesting some thread, i can see if u manage to pack in the parcel value below rm500 can avoid kastam hold ur parcel? is this true? what if i sending separate parcel which the value below rm500 and different date? anyone got experience on this?

from my experience dont consolidate and dont make packages big. i'd rather pay the extra shipping than go through all the trouble to drive to the kastam to take. Horrible experience and will encourage people not to make their packages noticable and pay for the extra shipping costs, unless someone else is paying for your Toll+Petrol, also highly recommended to go there very very very early and ask for every single form needed, because I didnt know what form I needed i keep going back and forth while the line grew longer and longer when a 30minute to 1 hour could finish turned into a 4-5 hour long process because the bloody morons there never told me I needed this and that.

have you informed seller bout this and I USPS should have a tracking number right? call the local poslaju to check what is the status of your item. They can check for you

anyone knows why/how the custom hold your parcel, is it randomly pick, mine was detain at custom PJhub today, i call the ABX express they say they dunno y custom hold my parcel and i ask them what shud i do, they also say dunno, juz wait, damn i need my stuff before this weeken.

Check the duties and taxes from here --> Tariff.
Sometimes depends on how the bf declares the value.
Any special handling for the perfumes? Perfumes can't be shipped via air without special handling as they are flammable products.

Cash, is it a lot? Very Stupid to send Cash vis mail cos very high chance, your Cash will go missing.
