Hi just renew swu 5 at taipan

App shows Swu 5 already

Just received first bill

Rm13 for oct 2025 for unifi mobile

Can I start cancel unifi mobile? Need to go to different outlet to do cancelation since taipan sales man says minimum 2 months

Currently if you change your AWS country code to China, you pay zero tax. I have been doing this for as long as I remember.

The 6% contribution is TM's indirect method of robbing people. Government is the shareholder. Using this power they take money from everyone and give it to TM to build fiber.
The fiber is then owned and operated by TM.

It's not like in Singapore where the ownership is transferred to Netlink Trust, or in Australia where it's run by NBN, a totally separate entity.

This kind of game Yankee will smell it from miles away. Verizon, ATT, Lumen has been doing the same thing. They take tax money, build and own fiber all around US but keep them disconnected. When anyone want it, they charge exorbitant price to connect them.

Good thing they have free economy and startups come and challenge all the dinosaur. Malaysia on the other hand will get cockblocked from GLC, state government and politician.

I feel the DNS clause is too specific. Should just use a broader term like censorship.

CCP telco gear. Raw performance is only 15% compared to American brand. Software sucks. Programmability 404. No secure boot. No remote attestation.
They are cheap for a reason. But they cost more than 15% if you just factor in raw performance. Factor in everything else, they ain't that cheap.

But oh well, Malaysian don't want fast internet. Everyone love congestion.

received email said package change to swu 5.0

but login my account in unifi website, no plan appear (I choose both existing and new home broadband)
same goes to login to myunifi app, also nothing

any idea what wrong?

i wait almost 3 weeks only receive call sweat.gif

received both sms and email plan changed, but unifi website and myunifi web didn't show my account

Mine took about a week + after phonecall then only I got a SMS from TM...
Then a few days after the SMS, the switch was concluded.


SWU 5.0 guys, did you guys get new equipment?

The TM Service Acceptance Form I received via email mentioned the equipment I'm supposed to have is a SKYWORTH
GN630V but I was not given any router.

I got a call from a TM installer who wanted to come to my home to set up but I told him no nid as I was not free.
He said ok, just restart my BTU and the new speed will be effective.

But it seems I missed out on a new router?

I'm just worried my BTU (very old already) mati 6 months down the road, then TM telling me need to extend contract for the new equipment.

Dulu, BTU they have to give without any contract extension but now they only give combo box, need to recontract if my old BTU fails to just use the combo box as a BTU?

i believe the call is recorded, asking the reason "why customer want to terminate" and " try to convince customer stay with unifi" is their standard SOP.

How do you guys submit a request to terminate unifi ya?
I tried to check in the myunifi app, under support, but there is no link or word " request to terminate " ?
i check some video and web, but mostly are all old UI.

They still have BTU just raise complain MCMC point that TM forcing you to sign recontract to change BTU
TM will won't force you

Guys,is the OTP sms working for unifi or is it me only? Tried to register app again but no OTP received when trying to register the new app.Thought is a conflict so I remove the old app.Now can't even access my account as when trying to register will trigger OTP via SMS again.

anyone using quad9 dns? my ipaddr 115.x.x.x and its abit laggy? or more to like unrespondan in about 3-5secs.. maybe its just my placebo?

change to cf or google seems faster/normal.

I think we could use this opportunity to push them to fix the routing issue
Imagine tagging Trump on Twitter telling him DNS redirection is only a minor inconvenience, on the other hand routing is so bad it hinders normal connections between MY and anything international

Yeah I know the chance of them fixing routing issue is near 0

You can use dig to check the query time, with plain, DoH or DoT.
That's the most accurate way.

Needing another country to solve our Internet congestion sounds crazy.
Fuckmee is too busy with censorship. From cell tower mass surveillance program to Digital ID for social media.

Internally TM do not want to fix it, even when they have loads of money. This is after they rob everyone 6% USP for the so called "rural development" which is basically money for them to build fiber in ulu places.

just to share.

Terminate request via tel call. Got a case number. 2 weeks no one called, so I called them to ask status. Termination team called me same Fri afternoon with offer to stay. Agreed to offer.

By Tue, line changed from 300 to 100mbps, 6mth free, with Disney for 79 + tax with new 2y contract.

Yet to receive sms for Disney, tho.

If I didn't get the offer, I'd move to 5G BB.

Will see in 2 yrs time, hopefully prices of 5G modem/router drop more by then.
