Just requested to transfer my previous membership from Australia to AMEX's Malaysia... waiiting for my replacement card now with 2003 member since on it

lauyamonk, does amex malaysia have any plan to introduce its generic credit cards? not the cobranded with maybank or hong leong ones.

high possibility not kua...coz amex malaysia card business sold to maybank ,which means here we can't get amex issued amex credit card(we call it grcc). it will be the maybank co-brand ..

but still anything can happen..better let the staff answer..hehe

anyone know maybank amex bonus point is join together with visa/master point?
maybank keep calling me regarding apply amex card, i'd reject their 1st amex card sent to me... but now i heard it got double bonus point...

All joint under MBB treatpoints, although the bill still itemise it out.
E.g.
MBB Master = RM10,000 = 10,000 TP
MBB Amex = RM10,000 = 20,000 TP

Total = 30,000 TP to exchange for gifts.

FYI, I earn a lot of TP from MBB Amex due to 2x-5x promotion, as I try to use it as much as possible instead of Visa/Mastercard. From my usage, 60-70% of places accept Amex.

I'm also amex fans, normally i will bring visa n amex in wallet, then pay $$ i will give them amex first, if not successful then only i take out visa.
Sometimes u ask the cashier they also dono if they accept amex or not cause very rare ppl will use amex.

I have been reading this thread and can't help but to get curious about using AMEX again.

Previously used KRISFlyer AMEX and remembered the tedious process of applying it. Canceled the card after using it for about 2 years as it didn't bring me much points benefit vs. my conventional cc.

I just applied MBB AMEX Credit Card. I'm not qualified for Charge Card. The Maybank staff said that in order to qualify for MBB AMEX Charge Card, my MBB Visa should have a credit limit of at least RM 10k.

Any difference between MBB Amex Charge Card and Credit Card in terms of benefits and treatpoints ?

Amex got new promotion! apply Auto Pay for you bills , you will entitle for 3000 MR points.. anyone sign up with them already??

TS, could update the first page by putting crucial and important information on AMEX Charge and Credit Card?

One thing I don't like about Autopay is when you terminate the card, you have to inform the utility company.

The Autopay promotion is only available for AMEX charge card?

Charge card is pretty useless, i use it as backup card incase i need to buy something expensive (>10k) because my creditcard doesnt have that high limit.
And in order to earn MR point for charge card you must enroll membership which cost you RM25classic/RM50gold.

May i know what is the annual fee for MBB Amex Credit card? How many years free annual fee?

Annual fee is same as MBB Visa and Mastercard - RM 60 for Classic and RM 130 for Gold. If you have multiple MBB CC, it'll be RM 90.

It'll be free for the first two years.
