Enough if you very familar with Haneda Airport.

Depent on luck also...Let say you arrive around 10.30pm. If 10.30pm also got flight from Hawaii, Taipei , US , etc etc.

Then the International Terminal will be very crowded. Specially the Custom check will be very slow. 70 % U will miss the last train at Shinagawa Station.

From Haneda Airport take Airport Train:
International Terminal to Shinagawa Station

From Shinagawa Station you can change to Yamanote Line to Tokyo Station.

This is the part i don't like taking Air Asia to Tokyo. If you really late then just taking the Airport Limousine bus to Tokyo Train Station.

Haha.. I also wil be staying at Horidome Villa. Also via AAX. I will not be taking risk by taing monorail & subway combo. I hv bad experience in Seoul also the same problem. AAX arrived ~ 9:30pm. After clearance, I proceeded to AREX train and last time only till the old airport at Gimpo. Once I reached Gimpo ~ 11:30pm. No more subway dy. All stopped! I hv to go up the the old terminal & flagged the taxi there..As KL style, they unwilling to use Meter bcos it's midnite & no other mode of transports..sigh!!

So to play safe, I will take the limousine bus (900yen) to Tokyo inland Terminal just ~ 800M South of Horidome Villa and walk to the hotel

BTW, how much you get for Horidome Villa/nite? Mine RM215 for a small semi double room.

hi Stimix.. i got 5000yen for the same room as yours. i think it's almost the same as your price after conversion. wow.. i guess it is very risky to take the train then. and if i happen to miss the last train in one of the main station in the city, i might have to take a cab and it's going to cost me a fortune then., haha. i guess i will follow your option by taking bus to inland terminal. or, another option is to get the airport limo package from airasiago which cost about RM78 per person. they send you directly to the hotel. anyone been using this option before mind to share some experience?

Speaking on Taxi

Be careful when getting into the taxi; the doors are automatic and operated by the taxi driver. Don't try to open or close them yourself!

If the light's green they're occupied and red means it's free. (Hong Kong are opposite)

The fares start at ¥710 for the first two kilometers, and the taximeter then adds ¥90 every 275 meters.

At night, from 11pm, another 30% is added to the total fare. All major credit cards are expected

Thanks RegentCid.. i will probably not going to take a cab unless if there is really no choice. Anyway, it's a good information. Will keep it in mind.

Anyway, to Stimix, where did you learn about the 900yen limo bus from haneda to T-CAT terminal?> I am looking at their website and found that there are only 2 possible bus that we might be able to catch that is for 23.15 bus for 800yen and another will be 00.15 bus for 1600yen. I am not sure if we are able to catch the 2315hrs bus?? Will it get full if happen that many international flight arriving at the same time? Just my thought...anyway i guess i am going to skip this option lor.

btw, when is your trip? i'll be going on 21/2/2012.

going jap for 7 days in may. do you guys think 7 days is too much for Tokyo alone? i'm still thinking to buy the JR railway pass or not. How much is the shinkansen ticket from tokyo to hakone. thanks.

Strongly recommend that you consider day trips to Nikko and Kamakura. Just a couple hours away from Tokyo and lots to see there.

Actually I am having dilemma as whether to choose between Nikko or Hakone too. I love both as each of them offers different experience but I can only choose one because of limited days in Tokyo. So confusing right now..

Nikko more simple city...just Onsen and beautiful mountain. ..more like natural tracking. If want more tourist sight then Hakone is more better. A picture of Mt Fuji is the Epic of this trip already.

Nikko also has Toshogu Shrine, where Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu was buried. Quite amazing.

Added on February 3, 2012, 11:39 amWah why suddenly there is a surge ppl booking Horidome Villa hmm.gif ohmy.gif ..Anyway.. my plan is to take the limousing bus to T-CAT ~ 800M South of T-CAT. Thereafter I'm thinking of walking there.. not far.. I hv been walking further than this elsewhere haha. Taking taxi, Regentcid mentioned earlier 1st KM, 710yen so ~ RM28 to that hotel..abit pricey for such a short distance blush.gif Also I will be carrying backpack of < 7kg the most..So easy to walk lah.. If on budget, I learnt lesson elsewhere liao - Do not carry luggages. Very difficult to carry esp using subways

thanks for da reply haha. yeah i just saw you and another forumer booking da hotel. and the reviews on the net seems promising.
how much is the limousine bus to T-CAT? and do they operate this late at night. i'm guessing for me if i reach haneda at 10:30pm and after immigration probably around 11:30pm.
And when you say T-CAT, you're referring to this right.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tokyo_City_Air_Terminal

and what do you mean by 800M South of T-CAT? hmm hmm.gif

thx again
