4k for how many pax?

1) The last i've checked. Single journey tickets for shinkansen goes as low as RM700+. Always get the pass which is more affordable.
2) Capsule Hotel have 'coffin-like' sleeping area which is only for 1 pax. Usually they do not allow women to stay there (as far as I know but I might be wrong).
3) Not sure.

Hrm, cup noodle for lunch ah? Actually their 7-11 got the rice pack which is quite affordable as well and imo delicious LOL. Much more filling than cup noodle la. Breakfast, you should buy their rice balls (dunno call what dy) from 7-11, quite tasty and filling but for myself I need 2 to be full! For drinks, best you buy the biggest bottle, much bigger value than the small ones. If can go to supermarkets, from what i can see, it's cheaper abit than 7-11.

Maybe you can try renting rooms/apartments from www.airbnb.com? I started booking my accomodations from this website this year onwards for all my trips. Sometimes some of their property are located very central. Cheaper than renting hotel rooms. Much more homey.

I feel that agoda's prices are not cheap plus the 'special charges' are not revealed until you want to finalized your booking.

Hrm, I think Rm4k will be enough for transportation, food, some attractions.

1. If you are really on a tight budget to stay in Tokyo, i have a good recommendation, JGH hotel @ hostelworld.com ( i forgot the personal contact number of the owner, so no choice have to go through the website).

The rate is at 1000 YEN /night in a dormitory room @ August 2011. The room is small but acceptable for such cost. It cost 1100 YEN now, approximately RM50+ a night there.
The owner is very friendly, they can speak english fluently, and the place is clean, they provide washing machine, share toilet and bathroom.


I travelled from Shinjuku bus station to the 5th station with bus at night around 6pm, reach there at 8/9PM, then we can start climbing the mountain at dark (head lamp must be prepared or else you will not reach the top, or even next station.. ) Well you can purchase a road at the store then you can get a chop on your rod at every station up to the 10th station to prove that you successfully arrive the station!

*Bus ticket cost around 2000YEN on each way from SHINJUKU-5th Station and 5th Station- SHINJUKU.

Want see Good View of Mt Fuji without going Shizuoka......then just go Hakone

Seriosly stimix...spent 2 day 1 night at Hakone will never regret!!!  Hakone just 1 hour 30 minute away from Tokyo Shinjuku Station only.

Not sure whether anyone mention this before, actually there are arranged tours by JNTO to various spots around Japan (cue Hakone/Fuji tour). Can't remember how much it cost, but definitely not costing a leg or 700/pax. Great guide and Eigo service, includes food and a Shinkanshen travel experience.

Definitely worth it; they did something for me till this day i can't forget. 

The tours depart from Hamamatsucho bus terminal, which is quite near to Tokyo Tower and Zojoji. You can get more information there and all JNTO offices (a big one in Shinjuku Metropolitan Office Tower).

I think it's 河口湖(Kawaguchi-ko).

Location quite good...Center of Tokyo.  So near to Akibahara     
Big weakness was....it was far away from Train Station!!!

Walking to Bakurocho Station also .....

Walking to Shinihonbashi Station also ... 

BTW...you go anywhere also have to go Tokyo Station first then change another Line.

I am not sure if this question has been asked many time but do airasia flight passenger to we have enough time to clear immigration and get a train to city before the last train? I am staying near Chuo area, Horidome Villa. Has anyone been staying here before?
