Going to Kamakura is very easy and very cheap. and very direct ~~

First you go to Tokyo Station...which just near to your HOtel.

Then Take Yokosuka Line (Dark Blue) all the way down to Kamakura Station.

Journey take around 2 hour plus. WIll crossing through Shinagawa Station then pass through Yokohama then pass through Ofuna then arrive.

To Nikko:

First from Tokyo Staton taking Yamanote Line to Ueno Station.

At Ueno Station Taking Utsunomiya Line (Orange) to Utsunomiya Station.

After Arrive Utsunomiya Station then change to Nikko Line to Nikko Station. (Nikko Line Terminal Station)

Journey taking 1 hour 20 minute - 30 minute.

Ok...Stimix..i want my present ok?

My opinion...no need go so far away from Tokyo City. ..those hour can save to explored Tokyo City better. for going far away just keep one Hakone is enough.

If really want go Hakone + Kamakura + Nikko....you need sacrifice the some shopping time. tongue.gif tongue.gif Later ur wife merajuk tongue.gif tongue.gif

I got the info from here:
http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2430.html (900yen) but earlier forumer got a specific rate of Yen800 b4 Midnite & Yen 1600 (Worry now) after midnite) sweat.gif He most probably refering to this: http://www.limousinebus.co.jp/en/bus_servi...aneda/tcat.html But this is only 1 company and I think there are more (HOPEFULLY notworthy.gif )

What I mean is Horidome is 800 metre South of T-CAT. you can actually walk to the hotel. From wikimapia/googlemap Wth google earth pgin.. you can see clearly the 3D image of the messy flyovers above T-CAT. I suspect this is T-CAT. i.e below the flyovers beside Park Royal Chou-Ku. So I will use Park Royal as landmark & starting point and walk North (Wth handphone compass haha) towards the hotel blush.gif

thanks for da reply haha. yeah i just saw  you and another forumer booking da hotel. and the reviews on the net seems promising.
how much is the limousine bus to T-CAT? and do they operate this late at night. i'm guessing for me if i reach haneda at 10:30pm and after immigration probably around 11:30pm.
And when you say T-CAT, you're referring to this right.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tokyo_City_Air_Terminal

and what do you mean by 800M South of T-CAT? hmm hmm.gif

thx again

To play safer, tried to overnite at the airport. Last time I overnite at airport reached Haneda after clearining bout 1130pm ++.
But is really tired on the next day. Take the bus to TCAT is the best choice, becuase from TCAT u can take subway. Last time I stop at the Tokyo station, it was mistake. The place was under renovation, I had a hard time to locate the subway. I opt to Tokyo station bcoz I lazy to do interchange, but ended spend more time.
Always remember take the tourist map at the airport. Please dun rush while taking transport, check the map confirm then move, if not u will have hard time.
I will going for my 2nd trip to osaka coming mid march. Now still preparing the schedule and plan.
I had suica card, possibe to refund back at KIX or train station at Osaka?
Yen why so high........ saw the rate is 40.30.
Plan well ur journey you will enjoy Japan.

Previous visit was strucked by the earthquake.... cry.gif

I saw Yen trading at 39.80 on Sunday at Money changers in front of Starbuck BB Plaza & 40.0 at Mid Valley LG ctr court. Elsewhere in Puchong ~ 40.20-40.4...The best rate - BB Plaza area

just print the map and indicate the main building/landmark that you are going to see on your way. if you happen to get lost, then trace back to find the nearest landmark lor. but i think straight road should not be a problem la. juts follow directly lor.

btw, does anyone know whether we can purchase disneyland ticket in the city in advance? I heard there are loooong queue in the morning to buy ticket at the resort. i dun want to waste time queing.

Hello everyone, I have few questions regarding my visit to Japan, late April later.

1. How much do I need to have in my account for the visa application?
2. If I want to bring back replica katana (the long samurai sword), will it be possible to do it, especially to pass through Narita and KLIA? If yes, any procedures need to be done? I plan to put the katana in my check in luggage.

Thanks.

Depending on where you start, may be simpler to just go to tourist/ticket office next to the main station at Asakusa and leave from there. Also beware there are different class services depending on comfort, speed, facilities (eg TV) and some you must be in the right car or train will be split to the wrong destination. Some departures need to change trains. Direct trains leave 7:30 am and return in afternoon, most times only one trip per day.

Whatever, it is well worth the trip. One of the most cultural places in Japan. Try the Yubadofu at the little restaurant near the entrance.

Try to use your handphone inbuilt compass and Park Roayal hotel as guidance. That's the tallest buiding surrounding T-CAT from google earth 3D view. Thereafter on the front of the hotel walk North. but not from the point B from your link. At point B it shows 1.1km walk but from the front side of Park Royal ~ 800 m only

After simulation between Horidome Villa & Tokyo train station, distance only 1.7km and 20min walk...haha..can cosnider walking to Tokyo st too..but this one lotsa streets..most probably lost withyout a GPS for sure haha

If you are expecting full blown anime chara cosplays, usually only at events.
if you mean v-kei cosplays, then takeshita street n also at yoyogi-park just few metres near harajuku stn.
you may be lucky if someone do anime/game chara at yoyogi
