Samsung offers free screen replacement for Galaxy phones with green line issue
Unfortunately, the offer is only available in one country for now.
Samsung India is reportedly offering a free, one-time screen replacement to users with select Galaxy phones experiencing the green line issue.
Reports about a green line appearing on Samsung phones have been ramping up lately. We’ve also received multiple emails from our readers stuck with green lines on their Galaxy flagships. However, this isn’t a new issue. We found complaints on Reddit that date back to last year. More recently, Galaxy S21 series users have been reporting the appearance of a green line on their devices following software updates.

It seems Samsung has taken note of the issue, at least in one country. In India, Samsung is now offering a free display replacement for Galaxy S20, Galaxy S21, Galaxy Note 20, and Galaxy S22 phones affected by the green line issue. However, Samsung’s replacement policy only applies to these devices if they were purchased within the last three years.

i saw a video clip someone put lighter fire under the green line and it disappeared.

there's a chance to destroy that lcd doing that too, ive see burnt lcd damage on used sets on carousell

my wife s22 plus just get green line today after 2year++ usage , S22 series having this problem?

iinm panels made by samsung from 2019 to 2022 has this.. my a71 is under 2019/2020 year... 2023 s23 series onwards by right no such issue already...

u can try go their cs or service centre to ask i guess. my a71 is used by my nephew now... so not my problem.. hopefully 23 series no longer have this.. baru use 1 year

samsung actually has a repair program ended 31 March 2024, to replace green line phones even after warranty. ive talked to 2 service center yesterday

Sorry to hear that. If you go to the FB group for S series, past 1 month so many people kena green line. Samsung defect is getting serious. Most kena after the software update.

Those using S23 including me, will know after 2 years. Now still too early to say no green line. Unless they upgrade every year. No problem at all.

My sister Note 10, also got green line issue, after 4 and half years usage, no point replace it since samsung member detect battery health low
She just buy S23 Ultra

Its just a matter of time before a line appears on my s23U la. Samsung stuff are always subpar quality. I have mentioned this for a long time but nobody wants to believe me. Thats why i never buy Samsung electronics. They are overpriced and overrated and have such poor quality. The only reason i bought the S23U is because i got it for half the price using points.

The phones with the best quality is of course iphone and Oppo phones. Samsung is really crap

why most get green line but my S22+ got 2 pink line instead

many years back my S9+ also got sudden overheat issue and caused screen got issue. Luckily samsung replaced it for free

Makes no difference. The LED display is damaged.

luckily its on the side. if its exactly in the middle will be super annoying

It can be either green, pink or white lines.
My Note20U have all three. Managed to get free replacent.

S22+..Updated on 22/04/2024...purple line appears 4hrs ago...1+am 28/04/2024...haiiiizzzzz.....my old note 8 used for 5 years, not even a single problem (except battery degraded overtime - normal)

That time was still under the lcd replacement program which ended 31st march

April many more phones suddenly have green line after update.

Does this affect S20FE? I've not updated, seeing all these lines I'm scared

i heard that for s22ultra just ended at 1/7/2024 , now my wife stil waiting for s22plus .... stil no news , if samsung didn't do any replacement program anymore , i will boikot samsung and jumpship to other brand

Samsung is one the the largest producer of Amoled panels in the world.

yes alot other brand using samsung amoled , but only specify panel that having problem for some model , if samsung found their panel having some problem , especially that using at their High end model phone , they should give better offer for only user that facing green line problem with a special rate

why samsung india can give free replacement for samsung green line problem , but malaysia samsung just give a short period only? if can't get 100% full replacement , at least continue given the offer that paying labour charge RM86++ , or even give some 50% discount to samsung supporter than just sit there and do nothing ....


if so many user having the green line problem , u asking customer how to give more confident to purchase samsung product in future? Ur samsung phone not xiaomi oppo vivo pricing RM1k Rm2k rm3k price bro .... we are paying premium price rm4k-5k-6k price for your most high end model phone

it's all about your after sales customer service and your responsibility to your loyal customer , and the panel just 2 year old age , are u kidding me paying so high price just to use for 2 year ?

okey will try again tqvm , actually i already call alot of samsung outlet since last month , and all answer is the same , only for s22 ultra user , s22plus stil no news yet , and they keep on asking us to call them every week because they also waiting notice from their official head

they keep asking we to wait for the news , but then now already appear 3 line on my screen , almost effect my daily usage now , really hopefully faster let s22plus user to change the green line asap....

I walked in to Samsung Service center at The Garden.
My S21 plus green line issue can be replace free of charge and just need to pay RM80 labor cost. Need to put your phone for 3-5days.

Instead of call their service center, if possible, try to walk-in and ask.

Went to Samsung Pavilion, last July, paid over 600 to fix green line on Samsung A.

Checked with samsung SC, s21fe not eligible for free replacement, need to pay RM700 to replace the screen due to out of warranty.

Already contacted and bring device to Cheras SC, no free screen replacement for S21 Fe.

Mine is S21 FE too, got the first line early this year. Around 1.5 years after bought. Now it got 6 lines. 😅

I visited the AEON Cheras Selatan Service Center today to inquire about the screen replacement program. The staff mentioned that they hadn't received any memo from Samsung regarding replacement for any models. However, they are willing to accept phones for inspection and report to Samsung to see if the device qualifies for a screen replacement.

I think not worth paying the screen plus labour. The issue will comeback again, a ticking time bomb.
Wise choice will be to get a new phone.

RM620? Which SC? Seremban SC quoted me RM830++(screen + frame). Outside phone repair quoted more than RM900😅. Still, will take long to order parts, no parts in warehouse.

The green line seems to affect mostly S series but not A series. Why is that..
