Which service center did you go? Did you contact them first before walking in to find out about the free screen replacement program?

I'm also planning to send my S22 Plus for the screen replacement. Got the light saber out of nowhere while using the phone.

Could it be that Samsung only repair the screens instead of replacing them? Based on the this pricing table from Samsung. It's "cheaper" to repair. Perhaps that's why it usually took them a week or more to get the replacement done (for this free screen replacement program). I don't know. I just assume stuff.

My S9+ got green tint TWICE. Not bleeding on the edge but rather the whole screen. The first one got replaced within warranty period. Then I got the second one which was after the warranty period ended, so I did not bother to pay that ridiculous amount of money to get the screen repair/replaced. I just downloaded some app that offset the color of the display to reduce the green tint. It's a workaround. Green tint was still there but reduced.

Then, the main camera died. Was trying to pay for something using QR, opened the TnG e-Wallet QR scanning page only to have the camera screen all black.

Had to use wife's previous Galaxy A8 to continue with my life (because of e-Wallets and banking apps need the camera functioning). Gave the S9+ to my son for gaming.

Now the S9+ is dead already. Motherboard is busted. The service center didn't have the capability to repair it. Told me I have to replace the whole mobo so NO. No money, time and energy to deal with the nonsense anymore. Even though I didn't proceed with the repair, money was still wasted on some labor charge for them to check the S9+.

I was using the so called "military grade" case for the S9+. This case to be exact Supcase Galaxy S9 Plus Unicorn Beetle Pro Full Body Rugged Case. Felt like holding a military device or something. Babied my phone. I remember that I only dropped it once from waist level but during sitting on a chair (so lower than standing height) when trying to take the phone out of my pocket. I don't know. Maybe a ghost was tossing around and stomping on my phone when I was sleeping or something.
