Cobb will remain as one of the finest character actors that ever graced American film.

12 Angry Men. 1957 black & white version starring Henry Fonda.

All time classic. Just watched it again earlier while idling away the night (WoW servers down).

Great film about 12 jurors discussing a murder case. Very interesting to see the speech patterns and mannerisms of the times, and the scene when Lee J. Cobb's character's eyes bulged in blinding rage will stick in my mind for a long time.

I've not seen the original, but I caught the 1997 made-for-TV remake. The cast included Jack Lemmon, George C. Scott, Hume Cronyn, Edward James Olmos, James Gandolfini, and Armin Mueller-Stahl. And it was directed by William Friedkin. With names like that, cannot fail. smile.gif

If you ever plan to watch the '57 original, DON'T look for youtube videos. There are some clips from the movie there (apparently it's been used a lot for various civic class studies). I'm advising this not because of the legality, but to save yourself from spoiling your enjoyment of the original. Some scenes are emotionally powerful and it's better to see the full movie in one seating than discovering it from bits and pieces off youtube.

just watched Iron Man the other day. a great, simple film. can't say that i love it. i love it too much!
still, Iron Monger only shows on the end only. just like venom shows on the end of SM3. i bet Iron Monger fans would be pissed.
oh, and that TF1. great films for an introduction. watch it like 20 times oledi. the jokes were good, the action was very descent (which is good), Shiah is such a lovable person, i love to see em' being as Sam. Megan Fox was so-so but ok. Bumblebee is the total star of the film (which in TF2, it is not).

i would love to see Harry Potter films next. never saw one before rclxub.gif

12 Angry Men is the better movie, agreed. But when I watched A Few Good Men, I was preparing for an interschool debate competition. It was... inspiring. laugh.gif

Let's push this to 1000!

Last movies: The Hurt Locker, Coppola's The Conversation. Both were great, particularly the former.

Sword of the Stranger. 2007 Japanese feature-length anime film.

Great art, great action, nice pacing. Some loose ends but overall an enjoyable movie with a great soundtrack. Only bone to pick is the choice of a Caucasian guy from Ming China (wtf).

Sleuth (1972)

This movie can be aptly labelled as a "thinking man's" movie. I do consider myself a thinker and I'm a sucker for movies like this. There is a Hitchcock-ian aura that surrounds Sleuth and if you love Dial M For Murder and Rope, you'll definitely love this. The script is extremely well written. Sarcastic, witty, and quite deceitful too. Caine and Olivier were a perfect match to bring out the best out of the script. There is no rocket science, no special effects, not even a third actor, just plain dialogue that will change the way you view movies. 4.5/5

Potter 6 - 10/10. Best Potter yet.

My Sister's Keeper: 9/10. Never thought Diaz as an actress until now....Breslin and that other girl were fantastic as well.

Anyone has any thought about "From Hell" movie starring Johnny Depp? This movie is about Jack the Ripper. Planning to buy the 50GB Dual Layer Blu-Ray Disc with DTS-HD-MA.

Hope it's worth it for Rm100 i'm going to spend.

I beg to differ. Potter 6 is the worst among all potter movies. I fall asleep halfway and have difficulty staying awake. Less magic + less action + mediocre quidditch = half baked potter film. All this film shows is how teenager loves kissing and nothing else. The only thing that makes me awake is when Professor Snape comes out. His eerily acting is good. Disappointing overall.
