Anyone has any thought about "From Hell" movie starring Johnny Depp? This movie is about Jack the Ripper. Planning to buy the 50GB Dual Layer Blu-Ray Disc with DTS-HD-MA.

Hope it's worth it for Rm100 i'm going to spend.

Pretty good movie.

Johnny Depp character here is a stark contrast with his character in Sleepy Hollow (although they wear the same costume!! tongue.gif)

Heather Graham fresh from her Boogie Nights role (interesting how poor people sleep in Ye Old England) and Ian Holm's pre hobbit era

I have the DVD, and the bass in that is good.

Should be very good on BD.

Enjoy your 100 bucks investment!! tongue.gif

If not, you can always sell it to me, cheap!! nod.gif

Sleuth (1972)

This movie can be aptly labelled as a "thinking man's" movie. I do consider myself a thinker and I'm a sucker for movies like this. There is a Hitchcock-ian aura that surrounds Sleuth and if you love Dial M For Murder and Rope, you'll definitely love this. The script is extremely well written. Sarcastic, witty, and quite deceitful too. Caine and Olivier were a perfect match to bring out the best out of the script. There is no rocket science, no special effects, not even a third actor, just plain dialogue that will change the way you view movies. 4.5/5

Have to admit, haven't watched that but did like

Without a Clue (1988), where Michael Caine plays a good (or should that be bad!?! tongue.gif) Sherlock Holmes and Ben Kingsley plays Dr. John Watson. Love this movie and should be a good watch just before Downey Jr's Sherlock!! nod.gif

I beg to differ. Potter 6 is the worst among all potter movies. I fall asleep halfway and have difficulty staying awake. Less magic + less action + mediocre quidditch = half baked potter film. All this film shows is how teenager loves kissing and nothing else. The only thing that makes me awake is when Professor Snape comes out. His eerily acting is good. Disappointing overall.

yeh... ur rite.. there less magic and the plot is very slow..

but can wait for the upcoming g.i joe..

hope it will be interesting watching the movie... smile.gif

Well, it's kinda a rule of thumb that anything Will Ferrell is in, usually is!! nod.gif

My view is this movie gave me the same feeling i had after watching Ice Age and Tropic Thunder. With a big smile in the end. It's a very hilarious movie. I rate a hilarious movie that high seriously. Even though how stupid the movie is.

7/10

There is also an after credit scene where Marshall left an egg. An egg from the Land of the Lost and the studio crew laughing and saying "Hey look, Rick left his egg, hahaha"! Then the egg hatched an ugly wizard baby. lol.

Anna Friel is hot maaeng!

How about Death Sentence, a 2007 movie. Can't believe i only managed to watch it last month and never heard of the movie b4 sweat.gif Awesome and emotional at the same time
9/10 - the women really can't act as a police, that's the only reason this movie doesn't get full mark IMO.

After movies like Erin Brockovich and The Core, he played a relatively small role in The Missing (a farmhand to Cate Blanchett) who met a VERY gruesome death!!

Did you loan the said movie to a friend or something??

Or have you looked under your mattress, could it be hidden under there with you magazines collection?????! tongue.gif
