Saw Push on DVD yesterday. Sound premise but delivery was... Lacking a better term "chop suei" [messy]. If they do get to do a part 2, hope they iron out some things... I respect that people like this movie, but some things just didn't click with me. My two sens worth.

Just watched Knowing on BD, AMAZING PQ and SQ!

A movie about prophecy?! Hm.....

Storyline as a unique ending.

Not you run of the mill hollywood ending

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Curiously, another movie 2012 (about the end of the Mayan calender = end of the world) is around the corner!!

I watched the Back to the Future trilogy over the past 2 weeks. First is great, second is a mess but still entertains, third is perhaps almost great. Overall a very enjoyable trilogy.

Also saw The Hurt Locker. It's basically a smarter, rawer, and more realistic version of The Kingdom. Not sure if it's deserving of all the lavish praise it's been getting, but it's very good.

Team America: World Police. Ever wanted to make action setpieces out of your LEGO toys when you were a kid? Well I think this fits the bill, although technically it's puppets. The satire is crude and offensive, but there are many hilarious moments. The "dicks, pussies, and assholes" line is one. Plus the songs are friggin hilarious too.

Primal Fear. Absorbing and entertaining, with great performances by a (perhaps overly) charming Gere and Norton. Norton seems to relish in roles which let him run wild. He should stick to roles like that than stuff like The Illusionist. Nice twist in the end too.

Got some other movies also... but lazy to write. lol

All the casts are so cute back then, cant believe they've grown so much, especially Emma Watson. drool.gif

Nice chicks, horrible killings and torture....and the 'final stage' paid it off.
Not in the league of SAW torture..Martyrs more artistically done.

Anyway, I just watch 17again...hmm...wish I could be 17 again! rclxm9.gif

I was too... until I realized the dvd/blu-ray has been out ages ago.

Seeing as it's only in a limited release in the US, it probably wont make it here.

Just watched it. Unique ending? How many time Hollywood disaster movie that come with spaceship? Already lose
count. WHen they reached the place with black stone, I said to myself, "oh no, please don't bring spaceship again".
Then spaceship really come and I facepalm doh.gif

Anyway, a lot of plot holes there.

transformers 2: the suckness of Micheal bay

bay was never my fav director, he is a summer movie guy and his summer movies had the IQ requirement of a 5 yr old tard. once or twice i do watch a movie by him that i enjoy; the previous transformers was one.

the sequel however was woeful, micheal bay went gung go and had a steroid boost on this one. this movie can be summed up as

BOOOM, SLOW MO, MEGAN FOX, BOOM, SLOW MO, MEGAN FOX

even the transformers didnt seem proper this time, the screen time for those new characters is as good as nothing. the editing was woeful, suddenly its here and suddenly its there. while common sense can fill the gaps it leaves you with a number of wth moments.

all and all 6/10, nothing impressive

Just watch Oldboy (korean movie). The twist is damn good. It might be very very confusing in between. But please continue watching until the end I need to watch 2 times to get everything.

Hello!

I can understand how my previous posting can be misread. I was purposely vague!! tongue.gif

There is a reason why I describe the ending as unique for a hollywood movie. Please refer to spoiler (eg if you are interested in watching the movie, NOT a good idea to read the spoiler.)

I do see you point, having movies like Arrival, Contact, MIB, Independence Day, and the past and present The Day The Earth Stood Still have this undertone. But this movie took it to the next level.

Also, this movie has a KICKING AQ!! nod.gif

ok, that is kinda unique lol. But a lot of thing inside this movie is done before by other movie. When I watch it, I feel like "been there, done that".
Does not raise any emotion during certain catastrophe...

Yes, and allow me to quote a phase that StupidityPolice likes to use. Those scenes you had described were predestrian (eg an accident by the road, and cars from the other side of the road stop to see but is emotionally detached)

Yes, I believe if the director was better at thugging at the heartstrings of the viewers, it would have been more successful.

Not sure if this is an appropriate question, but you are a Zelda fan? If yes, which is your favorite??

Yes, Michael J Fox and Christopher Lloyd at their best. Although having Lea Thompson acting as both his mom and girlfriend got a little confusing....

I especially like the part where a bunch of American soldiers busted into Paris and blew up the Eiffel Tower, all in the name of removing the threat of WMD! Classic!! There are other classic parts as well which I cannot go into, to keep this forum PG13!! tongue.gif

One of my all time favorite movie. Just watched it again recently. If you watch it for the first time, you keep guessing who the killer is, until the very end. Very disturbing (not in Hannibal Lector style, but how one can sell an 'act')

My 2 cents worth...

Last movie watched,

Ice Age 3 : Dawn of Dinosaurs .

Movie Rating by me : 7.5/10

Movie Genre : Animation / Comedy

Personal review :

The 3rd sequel of the orginal movie of Ice Age. This movie, i would say its a success sequel after Ice Age and Ice Age 2 . Following the original story line of life adventures , had a great laugh in this for me. Indeed worth my RM10 . i think it would be nicer to be viewed in 3D glasses. Recommended.

I'm not a fan of Zelda. I've not even played in any of the Zelda game.

Gattaca.

Wow. Apart from a few moments when the plot gets a bit far-fetched, this was stunning. It isn't the kind of ambiguous sci-fi film which leaves questions unanswered and asks you to make up your own interpretations, but I dont think it is any lesser because of this. Amazing film and probably instantly one of my favourite films.
