it will be super pricey.. not worth  tongue.gif
its written on paper.. online chat = scripted

the thing is... maybe tm shortage of ONR modem for FSU, but.. greedy for new installation ?  brows.gif

This free upgrade announced few months ago. They can simply get the data on the number of 800mbps user and OEM the ONR. Don’t think need 1year.

anyone here with previous Turbo upgrade with plan that includes the useless HyppTV ?

i would like to check if anyone with the above plan managed to remove the useless HyppTV or UnifiTV from the plan, then can remove the rm30 from monthly bill…

Just buy the highest AX or BE number you can afford.

An AX6000 dual band mesh will outperform an AX3600 tri-band mesh if both of them are of decent quality.

hi..

my current plan is unifi 800Mbps

i have ROG Gt-AX6000 (flashed to merlin), but when i use iphone 11 pro max to test the DL speed via wifi, will only achieve 300-400Mbps most of the time…what is the issue on this ?

when first set up the AX6000, can achieve 690Mbps via wifi

note: tested via asus router page shows 800+Mbps

Use fast.com and change your minimum test duration to 30 seconds and try again. Make sure you are near to the router.

Depending on network condition, Wi-Fi 6 may take some time to ramp up the throughput. On some devices or busy network, you will find that a 10-15 seconds speedtest is not long enough to reach the full speed.

Further explanation:
Wi-Fi 6/6e/7 use longer aggregates for data transmission, which means it can send more data at once before waiting for an acknowledgment (ACK). This approach can improve overall throughput but may introduce some latency in the acknowledgment process. If ACK frames take longer to be received due to longer aggregates, it could theoretically slow down the rate at which TCP congestion control ramps up its throughput.

Check your settings?

I'm just using the free DIR X3060Z and the tests were conduicted when the internet was being used.

Cannot remove the HyppTV. Even if you remove, TM will adjust back the price so that you still pay same amount. You either keep the plan or change to SWU plan.

I think the free upgrade for 800mbps will come at around March,as they might need to wait for the 2.5G ONU production after new year in China?
Since the product is made in China,so they have to wait for the production cycle.
(All above is my guessing only, maybe they still haven't decided the device specification yet innocent.gif)
OEM with ZTE or Fiberhome or else(non-famous factory similar to VSOL etc)? brows.gif

If we look over at Maxis's offering of the 2Gbps plans, they are giving a (rebranded by local company?) Skyworth 2.5Gbps ONU

So, maybeeeeee TM customers will get that as well?

Fiberhome Ax3000 can achieve link speed up to 2.4Gbps, but how well can that thin wafer can last is another subject.

This website not 100% accurate.
You may use nperf.com or speed.cloudflare.com ,if you didn't prefer speedtest.net

I love fast.com. I can get 1.2Gbps on my Unifi 800Mbps on my PC with 1Gbps ethernet.

Fast.com default mode can be inaccurate.

Change minimum test to 30 seconds and above for best accuracy.

Thanks for tip. I'm happy with the defaults though.

What's the current CPE for 1/2 Gbps, is it still the D-Link ONR?

Also assuming they'll give us two ONRs, can I hook the other one up wired? We have a pair of X3060Zs with the other connected via wired backhaul.
