package only mine is 189, with ruby pack come to 229
from 800mbps free upgrade (no contract) to 1gbps
hmmmm.. any chance shall i nego for 2gbps?
*
since you are paying them more than RM200, i think you should try nego with them. physically go to tmpoint and not via their online CS.

If I'm not mistaken, before the Free Speed Upgrade program started in October 2023.
There were a few 800Mbps users in the Klang Valley who were randomly selected to get a speed upgrade to 2Gbps
No any additional charges.

At that time, TM select a few users with a monthly RM200/300 and above  hmm.gif
*
yes i believe so. however now you can opt to nego if you have been paying more than RM200 and are not in contract with them, meaning to say that there's a chance that you'd be able to be upgraded to 2Gbps (subject to them actually checking your subscription and payment record though, result wont be on the spot). Below RM200, dream on. Maybe a select few got the deals in the very early stage of SWU4.0 yes, but now, dont think so. if youre paying below RM200 and insist to get 2Gbps and threaten to terminate your line, they'd offer you 500Mbps (1Gbps speed upgrade with 6-month waiver) at "varied price", usually at around RM150+ standard and if that doesnt make you satisfy with their offer then highly likely they'll let you go.

800 Turbo with bill less than RM180 in the past few years, then counter offer by them to 1Gbps with 6 month waiver, @RM150+- it's still a win-win.

Hi, I am currently looking to subscribe to Unifi Home + Unifi TV. can anyone suggest what's the most cost efficient package for my requirement below?

1. 100Mbps minimum
2. Unifi TV. I just need to watch TV3 actually, others (documentary, news, cartoons) are just bonus
3. Netflix (must be 4k)
4. I do not need the physical Unifi TV box

Is b) the best option or is there any other combination/package that I may have missed?

Thank you.

a) 100Mbps + Sports Pack + Netflix Premium ala carte = 128.90 + 62.90 = RM191.8/month

user posted image

b) 100Mbps (with Netflix basic) + Upgrade Netflix basic to premium + Aneka Pack = 117 + 33 + 30 = RM180/month

Does your 129 includes ultimate tvpack@rm60 + 600mins call@rm20? I am also paying 129+6% with above package n recently auto upgraded to 500mbps-Pro but without 3 months free.

Nope, no ultimate tv pack and no calls. Which is fine with me, don't even have a TV or working landline phone at home...

The speedtest is running on your machine or on the router? If running on your machine then is no issue with router or cable, most likely just the server you're using won't give you higher speed.

If running on router then possible cable (but normally not so ngam cap at 300).

Subscribe Unifi 100mbps at Rm89. Separately subscribe Netflix Premium 4K at Rm62.9. As for TV3, just connect antenna to your TV and watch My Freeview channels. Can also watch TV3 and few other channels from Tonton website or app.

There could be many reason for this issue. One of the possible issue as pointed by other knowledgeable forumers are some servers tend to cap the speed, so, nothing can be done about it. Another possible issue is aging networking equipments such as router. That D-Link DIR850L is released like 11 years ago man. You need to change your router if your budget allows to.

The basic troubleshooting you can do is (cc other forumer already pointed this):
1. Run speedtest on different servers on LAN and WLAN (wireless).
2. Perform the speedtest in real-time servers by downloading files from the stated servers as in bold.
3. When performing wireless test, always use 5GHz band over 2.4GHz band.
4. Tweak your 5GHz band settings, sometimes you need to play with the settings.

P/s: If all the methods given is not working, then just upgrade the router according to your budget. Simple.

Finally my free upgrade from 800mbps to 1Gbps has arrived. Initially predict July will be the month I can enjoy a speed bump, took them until December for it be offered.

Let's see whether the combo box/equipment they offered are of the better/updated ones.

hv u registered?

i also just recd this.

i had previously had a call talking about same thing, i believe.

only that the person mention something like u will get unifi mobile no., use 3 months, cancel anytime...

when i tried to ask questions, the line got bad, terminated.

this new offer doesn't say anything about unifi mobile which i dun need.

if plain upgrade to 1gbps, get new combo router, ok, i will go for it.
