you need that fiber port

there is a bridge mode, but it is bugged and randomly your speed drops to 300mbps

if you still have your old modem, reuse it, max speed 940Mbps but it's worth it

otherwise, go the advanced route with a SFP ONT Module and any router with SFP Port

Hmm I was thinking bridge mode + UCG Max setup. Better off with rb5009 with SFP? Any hope for the bug to be fixed?

Hope is little for this to be fixed IMO as TM wants customers to use their all-in-one device.

I primary use the internet for playing online games. And paying a monthly subscription too! 2 online games currently playing: The Elder Scroll Online Tamriel Unlimited since 2016 & Fallout 76 Online since 2021. Secondary use for YT & Netflix & download movies.

I seems to be happy with my Xbox Series X Console settings. Was abled to change DNS inside the Console to 1111 & 1001...don't know make any difference or not lol. But Cannot port forward in my console.

Console Settings abled to get 1296mbps up & 533mbps down. Latency at 210ms as ecpected since I presumed the Servers are located in US. I am paying for 1000mbps up & 500mbps down for my pure Unifi package

For sure they won't U turn. They spent months working on this, possibly as early as April/May and the ISPs spent a lot of money on the servers to block the 3rd party DNS.

I think they are just going to try to soften the backlash or try to make it look like it's a non-issue.

Best we can hope for is they leave DoT and/or DoH alone for the time being as those have legitimate security uses as well.

If you search for those black dlink gpon wifi AIO on the other thread, someone (kwss) found unpatch cve's and these router probably not safe to use. Get some serious equipement if you wish for better connectivity experiances (or use old onu) or you could ask and buy anime4000 for his router on stick solution.

DNS over Plaintext completely banned, DoT and DoH not affected
Celcom: Block port 53 completely except its own DNS servers
Digi: Redirect all traffic for port 53 to its own DNS servers

DNS over Plaintext partially banned, DoT and DoH not affected
Maxis: Redirect port 53 of well known DNS IPs to its DNS servers. Less well known one still works fine

DNS of all types partially banned
Unifi: DNS of mainstream providers (CF, Google, OpenDNS, Adguard, and etc) got banned including DoT and DoH. Less well known one still able to use even in plaintext mode

Please correct if anything wrong

Streamyx doesn't even need DNS hijack, using the network itself will prevent you from doing anything more than sending emails or view low quality YouTube videos.
I remember back in those days when I wanna read a few...erm manga... It took so long to load a single picture I fell asleep infront of the PC with pictures still loading

Of course when my parents came to check on me, they found a few interesting pictures opened in the browser

Kena punished kao kao and I hated Streamyx to the bone from that day onwards
