what router does unifi offer to customer these days? (my plan is 300mbps fiber)

current unifi router is faulty, with frequent and random restarts. thinking of taking up their offer for changing router in exchange for 2 years contract

Try installing some fans since all tm router always overheat. U can try use a laptop cooler or install usb fans to keep the router cool.

If still random restart u go to any pc shop and buy your own router since it is cheaper. U just need to keyin your router password( ask tm and they will send u the password in sms ) and done.

Let's say none of all the above is true, we still might have a situation where MPLS tunnel is encapsulated inside another MPLS tunnel. This is a common scenario called "carrier of carrier".
why not they work if they support ttl propagation and icmp tunneling?

Yeah. Happens during specific time of the day, so I'm assuming it's Unifi either being cheap again and not buying enough bandwidth or having really crappy partners to route their traffic. Reddit videos are basically stuttering and stuck of the loading wheel. Same with X/Twitter, and often the image or video won't even load. I've complained enough times in the past that I don't bother calling support anymore, because the fools over at Unifi will just spout their scripted lines. In the end, you get a port reset that doesn't fix the problem.

All these years, and TM/Unifi is still a trash company.

yeah X/twitter has been near unusable during certain time of the day for months now, at 1st i thought it due to elon cheapened out on the server, but when i turn on vpn it works just fine. all those free speed upgrade they've handed turn out to be misleading/useless as the speed will look fine on speedtest but for downloading/browsing experience has been worsening.

European VPN servers still suffering from slowdowns even on Digi 5G. Using a UK server to watch Euro on BBC iPlayer and the quality is 144p at best. I think it's a routing issue.

Hi ,

Just installed 300mbs Unifi.
The given router+modem (skyworth GN630V) has poor coverage imo.

Went to get an Asus AX1800HP and plug it to the Skyworth.
Effect seems same.

Did I miss something?
Do I need to do some settings changes?

Thanks in advance

I tried to change Skyworth to bridge mode ,
Skyworth WAN/LAN1 connect to my Asus router WAN .

subsequently my pc can detect wifi only..no internet.

I'm not sure what went wrong?

MPLS will encapsulate anything, it just treat the payload as data stream. So for TTL Propagation to work, it will specifically recognize IP packet only.
In the first encapsulation, you have the following:
MPLS(IP)

In second encapsulation, it becomes:
MPLS(MPLS(IP))

You can keep on encapsulating as long as your network has a big enough frame size. So as you can see if you only go through one MPLS tunnel, your IP packet TTL will reduce just fine (assume the router is configured for it). However when it hits another tunnel, the data type of the payload is MPLS, not IP, so TTL propagation stops.

A VPN is almost mandatory at this time. Unless you only use and browse popular sites and services.

rfc3443 there is mention tunneled packet type with two ttl values (different than encapsulating packet) which should be for use with tunnels

Ah yes. You are right!
iTTL and oTTL processing works for IP and MPLS packet.
Thanks for sharing.

I received D-Link combo box but I set it up myself to get work. Set up bridge mode then connect LAN 1 to router and Internet is UP.
If you have PLOAM pass so reset and set up back or easy way switch bridge mode to router mode disable wifi and connect your own router as AP
