current SWU also doesn't seem to have good incentives for existing 800Mbps users as 800Mbps has been phased out by TM for 1Gbps, and 1Gbps is asking for RM239, free 6 months (based on a certain SWU extra variant) and it seems that the 3 months free is a low-bar, because they're actually offering 6 months free based on the SWU catalog. cHiLdHo0drEaMz liked this post

QUOTE(Ashren @ Jun 6 2024, 09:24 PM) Wait why they recontract you for FSU? The 3 months rebate now standard for all SWU upgrade previously 6 months. Are you sure they offer you FSU2023? To me it's not worth it to get recontracted for 2 years for a 3 month rebate in return. Did they offer it upright to you and you have no option? Geez TM nowadays becoming more greedy 🤦 That's I'm also not sure. He said that's FSU but FSU2023 does mention no need recontract QUOTE(Ashren @ Jun 6 2024, 09:28 PM) Yes bro. Cannot be avoided due to duty calls QUOTE(jiaen0509 @ Jun 6 2024, 09:40 PM) If I were you, I will accept it since I will stay with Unifi and the free 3 months can average down your monthly payments to RM209. Unless you are Maxis user, right now I think can get RM159 for 1gbps and if you on Maxis own infra can get 3/6 months waive as well. No. Initial 300. Then upgrade to 800 in 2021. It supposed to be higher plan offers. He FSU from 500 to 800mbps already. Now Unifi offer new plan for him. QUOTE(Ashren @ Jun 6 2024, 09:52 PM) Oh so his 800 to 1G not FSU? If offer new higher plan retain old price, free 3 months, but recontract kinda ok to me. But if only he get the previous offer. Still not a bad deal though. Initial 300. Then upgrade to 800 in 2021.QUOTE(Lurker @ Jun 7 2024, 02:17 PM) Hahaha. I did requested for the Black ONR during the conversation. But they insist it's reserved for 2Gbps. 1Gbps likely to receive the White ONR. I guess just have to wait and see

Hope they have extra stock Yup. Should I ask prior to appointment or while at premises ? Kindly advise I'd flame the CS kaw2 if I were you. |

Both models have the same model number (DPN-FX3060V) but different material descriptionsHQ CS I will give it a try. Hope they have extra stock Yup. Should I ask prior to appointment or while at premises ? Kindly advise White ONR Material Desc: COMBO BOX 2.5G UONU RG Black ONR Material Desc: COMBO BOX AX3000 2.5G This is my box, the black one, for your reference; ![]() If possible, ensure you get the black one, 2.5G LAN port to avoid any inconvenience in the future. 2.5G is always better than 1G. Otherwise, it will create a lot of trouble if you wish to change it later. You can refuse the installation until you get the black model. I’m concerned they might be trying to clear the white stock. cHiLdHo0drEaMz liked this post

Any 800mbps user received upgrade yet?
So far have not heard from them till to-date. QUOTE(kwss @ Dec 5 2023, 07:43 PM) I got a feeling TM will delay FSU for 800Mbps user. I went and check their website, FAQ and TnC again, something have changed. Now they just mentioned: "All eligible customers will be upgraded by default, transition to take place from now until December 2023" We all know this doesn't apply to at least 800Mbps user. I remember previously they mentioned January 2024 to July 2024 in the TnC, but now TnC says: "The Campaign shall commence from 2 October 2023 until further notice (“Campaign Period”). However, TM may, at its sole and absolute discretion ends or extends the Campaign Period without prior notice to Customer." I find back a post from Soya Cincau quoting the following: "The FAQ also states that the upgrade activities will take place starting October 2023 to July 2024. You will receive a notification once your plan has been upgraded." Ref: https://soyacincau.com/2023/10/05/unifi-fre...s-tms-response/ I also remember they list the one-off price for equipment change in lieu of contract renewal. If memory serve me right it was less than RM300. However, I cannot find it anymore. Now they just say: "For the upgraded equipment, you will be given an option of contract refreshed to 24- months or a one-off payment for the device price." From another thread there is rumor TM will upgrade from GPON to something else. I suspect there is a possibility they will only give the FSU after they done whatever upgrade needed, at their own sweet time. Also, the TnC now has a Force Majeure section disclaiming all liability. I don't remember they had one previously. But I might be getting too old to remember things properly. |
