Sure
1st step is to choose the correct options as per the image below

On the next page, this is what I chose:

And as for the complain description, this is my message

CODE
UniFi Account: #########
As of April 2024, I have not yet received the anticipated speed upgrade from 800Mb/s to 1Gb/s. Despite their initial commitment to provide this upgrade to 800Mb/s subscribers at the commencement of 2024, no such enhancement has been forthcoming. Furthermore, I have noticed that UniFi has removed the upgrade notification from my account. However, I have retained a screenshot of the original message for reference, as attached.

Finally, I've added the image below as attachment in "Others"
It may not be the same for you as that image states my current UniFi package

Hope it helps thumbsup.gif

Thanks mate for the help

Looking forward to see your new speedtest result. My buddy has gotten his 1G speed upgrade. Now he is using the D-Link ONU + Bridge mode link with his TP-Link AX-72 and get abt 900++ MB speed

Sometime i wonder with all these "free" speed upgrade

Where all the free extra bandwidth come from without hugeee upgrading of the backend fiber infra?

Did they install addtional high capacity new cable?

Did fiber optic tech multiplexing multi light spectrum blah blah thingy got huge tech breakthrough such as that existing fiber can be use but with increase 1000 fold in bandwidth

Or voodoo magic invloved?

If not how they increase so many pipu bandwidth so much without added cost

Only thing i can say is they probally cheat or throttle low tier peasant unifi plan and or u only get the speed burst for short period.

MSAP mandatory requirement,

As we know, TM rather choose to upgrade the subscribed speed rather than to reduce the price

They only guarantee the local bandwidth.
They already have the base infrastructure ,and should be enough for most subscriber to utilize the bandwidth to local hosted services.
And they didn't expect 99% of users utilize 100% subscribed speed all of the time.

So unless your area/connected OLT got multiple high speed plan user who run at full speed at all time, and someone keep reporting the speed cant run at full speed, they are not going to upgrade the fiber or equipment.

For the routing,as someone here said before, the TM to worldwide bandwidth QoS is prioritize for business/enterprise user or IP Transit services.

So,nowadays VPN is essential for those unifi users who want a stable connection to worldwide server.

Even if they assume less than 50% of unifi user will fully utilize their advertise bandwidth

At least fix all ur routing problem first lahhhh and all the other issue b4 offering free upgrade

Imagine the shit show IF 50% of unifi user abuse fully utilize their advertise bandwidth 24/7 non stop

Update:
I just received a call from TM to arrange the installation for my speed upgrade from 800Mb/s to 1Gb/s. They will be coming this weekend. For those who haven't yet received their speed upgrade, I recommend following suit and filing a complaint with MCMC.

I raised a ticket yesterday and already received a call for the upgrade today. How's that for proof that TM takes MCMC tickets seriously?

soonwai I only remember you. Perhaps you could tag other users with 800Mb/s who haven't received their speed upgrade yet.

Utter nonsense. I'm paying RM189 for my 800Mb/s, and I'll be receiving the speed upgrade this weekend.

Is your technician gonna be helping you to configure the combo device into bridge mode? My technician does not know how to do it and I thought if possible can you please get the contact number of your technician so that mine can learn from him haha. I’ve tried following the instructions given here earlier but it’s not working.

Glad to hear that. Could you share us your "template" that you wrote to MCMC?

I am still waiting for my 800M to 1GB speed upgrade too

By the way, I heard some of the people received the speed upgrade but they did not received the new D-Link ONU. Do let us know whether you will received the new ONU or not

I received the dlink combo device. Just that I’m still using old Huawei modem with my Asus router. Technician does not know how to configure the dlink into bridge mode tongue.gif He told me he never face such request before so does not know how to do.

I'm tired of having to use a VPN at night because after 9-ish pm, certain sites and services slow down to a crawl.

It was fine before their free speed upgrade exercise.

report so many times already even give them the ping plotter result and it is still unstable. If u want better routing better go with other isp.

I had been facing this issue long time until today

Any network analytic can confirm which routing issue TM causing it ?

My friend successfully bridge the D-Link ONR with TP-Link router with this step, I find it weird that you could not get yours working

I'm not quite sure. It's unfortunate that TM doesn't provide this knowledge to all their onsite technicians, especially when it's crucial information for customers who ask for it.

But hey, since I'm only getting 1Gb/s anyway, I can simply repurpose the old BTU. Plus, my home Wi-Fi is still operating on Wi-Fi AC, so I wouldn't be able to fully leverage the 1Gb/s speed anyway!

If the technician can't handle it, I'll simply give it a shot myself.

I mean you have to remember that most TM technicians are considered out sourced and rarely is trained by TM professionally.

I also had to play around with it to bridge it for my OPNSense before any guides ever came out, asked technician and had no idea, this was back when SWU 3.0 was the main “cheaper” plan

User interface was kinda ass and definitely wasn’t helping to make it easier

Now time to wait for my 2Gbps upgrade

I am aware of that, but TM ought to enforce bridge setup training for all their outsourced contractors.
While bridge mode might not be a concern for typical home users, it becomes crucial in office environments. Given that many offices rely on their own routers/firewalls that does the PPPoE dial up & DHCP management.

Can we opt out of the 1 Gbps upgrade because I don't think it's that huge of an improvement.

Plus not a big fan on the BTU situation.

Why not just give us a 2.5 Gbps ONU? IIRC, Maxis is using a 2.5 Gbps ONU for their 1 Gbps and 2 Gbps plans on TM infrastructure.

I mean you’re only gaining and not losing much, 200mbps more DL and 300mbps UL

It can still be reprogrammed into a bridge ONU, and basically works the same as your previous old ONU that isn’t an ONR

As to why not 2.5G ONR with POTS, you must be new to TM practices unless absolutely necessary.
