I am experiencing the same exact issue! But I am from PJ (around Sek 13 area).

I already reported to Digi this morning. It's been a week that I am getting 5G which is SLOWER than the 4G!

How slow you may ask? It's now less than 10mbps!!!
Do you know the best route to report this to MCMC?

I have a feeling that Digi will NOT take action because it only happens to certain areas. Worst case, I will switch to Maxis just for them to lose a loyal customer.

Register and lodge MCMC report through this portal. Include also your report number/case ID from celcomdigi if available.

Surprisingly, Digi addressed my complaint and now the speed is back to the usual 200-300mbps which is what I am expecting from my CelcomDigi Postpaid 5G 120.

Why? I remembered you just switched from Kuning to Biru not long ago.
I planned to switch to Kuning initially. But the recent call to their support make me think twice.
It took me an hour to pick up my support call.

I switched mid of this month only so less than 2 weeks I ported back to Digi already. Went to Digi store today to port to kuning at 10am++ and ported at 6pm++..

Reasons why ported back to kuning.
1) speed and coverage - to be fair, no significant improvement. 5G coverage and speed are the same as all telcos use the same 5G network so this one is not a discussion point. However, for digi 4G vs celcom 4G no advantage for celcom 4G.

2) data usage - data ran out faster somehow on biru. I used less than 5GB per month on Digi kuning but when come to biru the 15GB used up in less than 2 weeks. I did not know the reason of it but I am pretty much sure that my usage on both is the same monthly. Then the unlimited 1Mbps is useless after the 15GB as it is too slow to even stream YouTube with decent quality to watch.

3) esim - biru has no esim which is a disadvantage comparing to kuning.

4) FaceTime and iMessage - it is painful. I tried for one weeks plus also could not get it working. Only yesterday suddenly message pop up on my iPhone asking if I want to turn on them then I clicked yes and it was then activated. But for Digi all these were activated immediately when I put in the SIM card just now.

5) cost - it is certainly cheaper for kuning not to mention the 30GB + 10GB data is a big plus that one will never exceed it and need to pay more than rm25 per month.

On Wednesday i went to CelcomDigi outlet to port out from Yoodo to CelcomDigi Postpaid. Settled my application around 4.30pm, at 10pm, received email from Yoodo for port out confirmation, around 11pm same day, my CelcomDigi line already activated. Quite fast.

Technically not telco that is in charge of 5G but DNB. The 5G experience that u experience with Digi in that particular area will also be the case for Maxis, U Mobile, Celcom, and etc.

The DNB 5G network is getting really congested recently... I rather put my phone on 4G when approaching city centres or concrete jungles

Yes, or go through the long way by asking Digi to reset voicemail.

Wtf, I went to Digi to request to change to esim. I was told them Becos now Digi and celcom did the merging. So Digi also follows Celcom’s policy that only postpaid can switch to esim…:

Damn….

CD merging is not related to 5G...
CD merge 234G while 5G coverage is depending on DNB...
