QUOTE(ericpires @ Mar 1 2024, 10:59 PM) The Postpaid 5G SE looks reasonable. I'm on First Gold 80, think it's best to switch to this plan to maintain a postpaid line. Wah first gold 80. Also a legacy plan. 🤪 ericpires liked this post

QUOTE(ericpires @ Mar 2 2024, 04:31 PM) I have switched to the new Postpaid 5G 40 SE at Pyramid today. if me, i will not want the contract. i dun need more than 40GB.. Apparently, they a bit blur blur whether can change to this plan so I had to wait a while. The person asked whether want the extra 20GB with contract, I said no contract. After received SMS saying enter contract lol. So went back to the person then she said she thought ! wanted contract, but anyway its only 12 months contract for the additional 20GB and if I were to add a phone they can waive the contract. They have this printed ![]() anyway, do u know if the data roaming on this plan is pay per use? meaning that one can incur data roaming charge without any data roaming pass? |

how is the new prepaid CelcomDigi Prepaid 5G Kuning (A02)?
rm25 for 40GB is quite attractive..the extra 10GB is it permanent? |

QUOTE(ckh6003 @ Mar 10 2024, 12:26 AM) ok. until end of june 2024 only the promo. but i am fine with the non-promo quota given - 30GB is more than sufficient for me... the 100Mbps speed cap for 4G/5G is also ok for me... i am more concern if the coverage is good or not, becos if it is not even good, even no speed cap one also cannot get the speed close to it. waiting for the porting from hotlink to celcomdigi to be done soon. subsequently i need to go to digi store to get the esim for it also. not bad. sim card is free... paid nothing at digi store today. ![]() This post has been edited by westlife: Mar 14 2024, 09:10 PM |

QUOTE(keewah @ Mar 14 2024, 09:12 PM) to be fair, at least at price rm25 one get enough data (30GB), unlimited calls and, personal hotspot (6GB) and comes with 5G free. i find it fair enough. seriously 100Mbps for mobile usage is more than sufficient, even at home using fibre broadband, we do not need more than 100Mbps for basic usage. they cap the speed to preserve bandwidth so that more users can enjoy reasonable bandwidth at the same time, it is nothing wrong. Do always remember that mobile data is shared bandwidth... i am more concern about mobile coverage than the speed cap as it impacts the experience more... jasontanky liked this post

QUOTE(Piers @ Mar 16 2024, 09:45 AM) when purchase any internet plan, it will deduct from the free credit first and balance from the main. Ya just realised it also.I top up rm30 get rm3 to buy the rm25 monthly pass and still left rm8 in my account, technically rm22 spent per month to have my internet. Hahaha. The savings in long run can use it to buy data roaming pass if going overseas. Nice. 😊 ![]() ![]() Piers liked this post

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Mar 19 2024, 10:55 PM) Actually this free credit can do what?? use it to buy internet pass la... Sometimes I do get this too.... But clueless what I can do with this??? So I just leave it & it's expired like that 😔 if u are not at the time to renew ur monthly pass, just buy a rm3 one-time pass to use instead of letting it expired. |

QUOTE(shaun_kok @ Mar 24 2024, 07:51 AM) Meanwhile, I have recently switched my mom's existing Digi plan (ancient Big bonus 28) to the CelcomDigi Kuning 5G 25 plan. She is not really a big data user - she mainly uses Unifi broadband at home for internet (but a heavy talk user) - hence the decision to switch to this new plan. Their previous offering are too expensive for me to switch. more than sufficient. i also switch from hotlink prepaid to celcomdigi yellow plan rm25 recently. the speed is more than suffcient for anything one can do on a mobile phone. else the rest of the speed beyond 100Mbps is nothing but just for speed test only and it just consumes ur data and u might feel happy with it but not ur wallet. Regarding the 5G 100Mbps speed cap, it is hard capped to close to 97-98 Mbps range while on 5G (tested on Poco M4 5G) despite there are enough capacity to go more than 600-700Mbps (tested using Maxis, posted as a reference) in my area. Of course 4G can go faster than 100Mbps. I doubt she will notice any difference in terms of speed though. For me I do download heavy files frequently and also a heavy HD/UHD streamer means that I will stick to the ones that offer uncapped 5G speed at this junction (Hotlink, Yes Power 35). Mysteriously, VoLTE again went missing after I migrated my mom's plan to the new plan and now I have to ask CelcomDigi to reactivate it again. ![]() ![]() ![]() VoLTE is turned off by default. i dun need to call them to activate. I would advise u to do one thing immediately which is to turn off voicemail instead becos if one is going overseas and someone calls u, u will incur roaming charge even u did not answer the call. to be fair, i could not 100% be certain it is on or off by default, but to play safe, just do it. |

QUOTE(shaun_kok @ Mar 25 2024, 08:35 PM) It is no brainer for your dad to switch to 5G 39 Kuning as it offers significantly more data than the current offerings (60GB Vs 75GB and 6GB hotspot). For your mum's case, does she regularly use more than 30GB of data per month? If yes, choose 5G 39 Kuning. If no, then choose 5G 25 Kuning with 30GB of data (6GB hotspot) and save more money. not to mention one can get extra credit by topping up their digi prepaid now. i get extra rm3 to buy the rm25 pass from by rm30 top up. so i spent rm30 to keep the line active for 30 days, but actual spent rm22 for the plan only i still have rm8 credit left in the account. And yes, there are no 6% SST on prepaid for Malaysians. During promo period (until 30 Jun, may be extended) you will get extra 10GB mobile data + 24GB extra hotspot data. |

QUOTE(sitescope @ Mar 22 2024, 11:44 AM) Does it working if monthly pass is auto renewal ? I mean auto deduct frm ur credit balance whether works for auto renewal this one seriously i am not sure. i am still newbie to digi prepaid which i just joined less than a month. Since free credits expire within 3 days, I need to reload at least 2 days before my monthly plan expired i also want to know more about reload, any auto reload feature for digi prepaid? the plan is auto renewal which is good and very convenient. but if reload is not auto then it defeats the purpose rite? of course one can say that i can just reload rm100 to last for 120 days straight... rm100 to last for 120 days i am ok with it actually. reload for digi is attractive anyway. i can get extra 10% credits immediately. ![]() |

Kuning plan is so nice that it gives rm5 every time I bought passes on top of the free 10% credit they give for top up.
The rm58 roaming pass to use in china is also good… can access anything that I always access while in bolehland without the need to use VPN at all. ![]() ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by westlife: Apr 4 2024, 07:05 AM |

QUOTE(poh880 @ Apr 21 2024, 02:15 PM) FYI, China "the great firewall" don't block roaming users. If you buy their SIM card locally with your passport, you get to feel the same powerful firewall yes, i used the digi roaming in china, it does not have prob accessing youtube etc..but using china hotel wifi or free wifi all cannot access...
