QUOTE(Skylinestar @ Aug 7 2024, 11:13 PM) I'm looking for phone deals. disappointed to find that there is no phone deals with cheap plan - Postpaid 5G 40 SE (RM40 per month). is this how it has always been? I don't understand why many people always say they get free phone with their plan, but they all pay a lot for the plan? Cheapest entry postpaid not eligible to get any phone, be it free phone or discounted price. That's how it is for most telcos. Midrange postpaid only entitle you midrange phone, for flagship you have to usually subs to postpaid in the range of rm90 above. But some telco like Yes or Umobile you can get phone with quite affordable postpaid plan.

QUOTE(craxors @ Jun 25 2024, 01:13 PM) i can confirm it is not coverage issue. traveled to whole malaysia in last 2yrs. all location lock 4g+ only. lol. 2 times change to new sim (advised by bluecube) but still same no 5g. have another 5g phone + same plan at home.. anywhere go can see 5g. even at home. after 3 time report to celcom.. close open close open case... drag few weeks... call and getting called few times.... finally can get 5g now.... they must have 'lupa' to tick some option maybe.... they should compensate rm50 per month for last 2yrs i use only 4g...

walau , just found out that CelcomDigi Blue prepaid plan needs to manually deactivate auto renewal of the monthly plan, if not , it will auto renew once the credit is enough for it to do even after few weeks of non-renewal due to lack of credit.

Get cheapest rm25 prepaid plan enough for monthly use with unlimited calls. Then buy phone at retail price.

I always had to unsubscribe at the last minute which is quite mafan.

If you topup RM5, then subscribe a monthly data plan, credit validity will extended for 30 days.
