I would be travelling to AUS in July/August.
I will be travelling there together with my relatives.
I am trying to apply my visa via the mobile ETA application and now following the link received from the email (like other memeber had mentioned here) on their immigration website.
As I see there is this "Group Processing" option, can anyone advise if joining in as a group and have my application processed together could possibly increase the approval chance or it won't matter, and I should just proceed with the application individually?

I suspect it wouldn't matter, unless you have a very elderly dependant and/or underaged children travelling with you.

Yes, they did but they went and apply 600 from immi site without using the link from the PDF.. so they paid additional 190aud 😅
Anyway, they got it approved with company invitation letter.

Basically can consider rejected outright la

ETA usually no need give any additional information. It used to be just a formality pre 2019, like it was basically like visa free to the UK, taken for granted.

Now look at what our fine countrymen has got the rest of us into

If only got no family there can just say F off to boring Australia

I’m more scared to apply and get rejected and then it will be impossible to enter any other western country because they know if this rejection

Even my USA visa application was so straightforward. Interview not even 30 seconds, and got 10 year multiple entry tourist visa.

Yeah, if not for family members, I also don’t wanna go to Australia. Prefers NZ. So to those who want to eat wind, opt for NZ especially South Island- heaven on earth.

Worldwide, 2% of ETA applications get called for documents. Because it's such a small number, we don't realise there is an algorithm that flags suspicious applications for further investigation.

It's 75% for Malaysia at the moment, since reopening in 2022. But that means a quarter gets it immediately. Both myself and my wife got our visa immediately when applied in January.

The majority of the 75% will also get approval after submitting the documents.

A common mistake, and DoHA makes a lot of extra money from that confusion.

I know, but it isn’t worth the chance

Australia isn’t that great anyway, one week can finish, and then it’s just a boring country with a lot of Asian food which we can get in other, more friendly places.

If I do end up applying I’ll update how long it took

Australia is big but lots of uninhabitable places. Some report said up to 90%. So majority stays at the 10% areas. Some said 60% uninhabitable. Whatever

Well, I’m back to Australia again for a month, to enjoy the start of autumn. Last spring, we spent a month driving from Sydney to Melbourne and onward to Tasmania and then back again in our Cayenne.

This trip, I’m keen to put some miles on the 911 garage queen so I might take it to Katoomba or down the coast towards Illawarra. Plenty to do, plenty to see.

But that’s just me.

Glad you enjoyed it! We head back to Sydney at least 3 to 4 times a year. This is already our second trip since the start of 2024.
