I think there was a system maintenance last few days even though i submitted the application last friday and still waiting for approval.

Im not sure if they will judge based on your travel history to Australia as i was once a student in Melbourne with multiple trips to Australia after that but still asked to provide supporting documents.

I only submitted bank statement wand national identity back in 2022 and got approved but this time I submitted more financial documents just to be sure

Edit- btw anyone getting this prompt after submitting the evidence documents?
Give details as to why the applicant will not be providing attachments prior to lodging this application.

The only document i didn't provide is the family composition form which should not applicable for Malaysia right

I can't speak for myself, as wife and I have been PRs getting by with RRVs instead of ETAs for the past 15 or so years, but when I applied for (the related) 600 visa for my helper to accompany us to Sydney, I received the same prompt after submitting supporting documents for her (including her work contract, my bank account statements - I chose to show them what I had in my Aussie acounts), but I left quite a few items blank as I was pretty clueless how to submit that which they were asking.

Long story short, the visa came through for a year, multiple entries, and she gets to stay 3 months at a time per entry. All this within 3 days, so I really can't complain.

But, the prompt is a standard feature, I reckon.

Submitted last friday, visa approved on 27 feb with 1 year validity
i submitted ic, bank statement, salary slip, employer letter and passport doc

Did you apply ETA on the app first?

601 application won't show up in the ImmiAccount. there is a special link to it.
my case was, I applied ETA then got rejected. Received an email with a PDF with instruction what to do. Inside the PDF, there is a special link to 601 in ImmiAccount. remember don't re-apply or pay the second time.
i paid on ETA app once only. when you submit supplementary information via the link in the PDF, you don't have to pay the second time.

So u apply using the app then they email you requesting for supporting documents?

Then you are right to continue with the link form the pdf

I realised what your problem is. Explained earlier in the thread as above.

Most of the application for Malaysia via the ETA app will bw rejected outright. However, you will receive an email with a special link to the IMMi site to submit supplementary info. without the need to pay additional aud190.


This pdf is exactly what i received. My colleague did not notice the link and went ahead to apply for 600 instead. Double payment aud 20 + 190

Not "rejected outright", but requested to submit supporting documents in 3 out of 4 applications...

For now, that’s still better than removing us from the visa free list altogether….
