Apparently there's a difference between US & Shanghai M3 Performance

but 0-100* time could be the same if they start from 0-62mph to match the 100kmh

AB probably costs RM10,000... RM24k - RM10k... gap is only 14k now LOL. Minus 19" nova... Goes down to RM6,500...

M3P price in Malaysia is a steal! AB would come probably after Tesla milked the M3P sales or perhaps eventually released FOC? Anyways something doesn't quite add up.

M3LR declared 366kW motor = 490hp (based on original model 3, that is with AB. Without AB is about 390hp).
M3P declared 460hp ~ 343kW... less roadtax than M3LR!? I feeling kena con liao  laugh.gif I'm guessing the M3P motor sustains max horsepower faster and longer time period than the M3LR.

Only exception is, if you need that extra range from LR to avoid stopping during your travels... then the LR is worth it over the P.

Meh, kena mute all the groups now  whistling.gif next car next car....

Trade in LR for P
Probably can sell for RM 210k? Seeing there's still long wait for it. laugh.gif

Yes the horsepower of the M3P is confusing af but I'm guessing that it's the increased torque that improves the century sprint figures to 3.1s from 4.4s (723nm vs 493nm). Hopefully JPJ doesn't make things difficult for Tesla to roll out acceleration boost in Malaysia in the future.

Improving the century sprint figures from 4.4s to somewhere around 3.8s would be a sweet consolation for not being able to get M3P!

Doesn't seem to have a big difference in range between old M3 LR and M3 P if both follow same driving pattern. Wonder how this highland will fare?

New M3P is significantly more powerful! Totally different beast.

Previous M3LR and M3P similar motor kW rating but this round if not mistaken it’s almost 100 kW more. 461 kW vs 366 kW. Previously I think is about 390 kW for M3P.

Now the price difference between long range and performance is more like it. If the long range version stays at 218k while the performance version is selling at 242k then it makes little sense considering the sweet upgrades on the performance version for a difference of just 24k.

Ya,now the LR are make sense again
Long time ago Tesla USA have so call m3P stealth version

Performance with 18' tyre

This is perfect setup for me

I really dislike 20' tyre
puncture and rim problem
Very difficult to find tyre
Very expensive tyre

Depends on where you stay and how fast you go over humps.
Coming from a civic and a neo, my M3SR feels higher than the civic.

So far have scraped my bottom once in Puchong and another time with 5 people in the car.

3 months in and no issues with ramps or humps otherwise.

Loan amount depends on your downpayment, tenure on your comfort.
Rate would be dependent on your profile and what the banks give, got mine at 1.97 in Jan with RHB

Any specific questions on these?

Hope this helps.

That should be clear enough. Thanks. I was thinking to get a crossover / SUV for higher ground clearence. Sometimes you wont know when you'll encounter some terrible road condition or excessively high speed bumps. But my budget (<180k) meant its gonna be an ICE probably.... EV SUV with good range are all above 200k. Model Y SR can be considered also but range much lesser than M3 SR and its gonna be replaced by Juniper sooner or later

Btw you staying landed or high rise? I'm staying high rise now and its another factor for me on whether to get EV also...

For the downpayment is it minimum 10% as with other cars?

For EVs most bank offer low interest rate now under green loan plan / scheme
