hahaha,if i were you, i would have probably went with the 911 too!

Well, yes. Although the 992 GTS was more than AUD150K more expensive than the Taycan GTS.

Undeniably it is still Porsche’s halo car.

not really, been using MY for 1.5 months, never charged overnight at all, when i reach home i just charge and will be full before bed time, it is sufficient IMO unless you use heavy user and use 80-90% and reach home only at night

2-3 hrs is still "a long time" isnt it? you can try watching paint dry...

it doesn't take up your real time is what i was saying to doc... plugging in 2-3 hrs is no different from 6-8 hrs... ideally one would recharge when soc reaches 50-60%...

To be honest, I’ve never been moved by the premise of an EV. When I was deciding on the second car in Australia (after I’d firmed the purchase for the Cayenne), I tested the Taycan GTS before I even tried the 911. I was trying to “future proof” my purchase but I ended up with the 911 in the end anyway.

Looking back, I am glad I made that decision to go for a Dino Juicer. The newer generation (facelifted Taycan) blows the old one out of the water cold. Like rendering the old generation immediately obsolete.

Batteries charge faster, has a wider operating temperature and range, lasts longer for further real world distances difference and to add salt to injury, weigh less than the old Taycan’s!

And this is only the facelift. What’s gonna happen when the new Taycan comes out in 4 years’ time?

I’ll hedge my bets for now and enjoy my dinosaurs until the inevitable - and if Porsche still makes EVs that drive like a Porsche, I’ll come back and ask advice from all you sifus and masters here again.

If i may ask, how much is your Insurance costs for you guys?
if plus windscreen coverage (10k), the total premium is around 4k+ for me.

M3P has been spotted at the docks in Shanghai Southport
Reports are coming in stating more will be known starting this weekend.
Altough it is not clear where the RHD M3P will end up.

The hyper competitive EV market along with the focus on their mass production models means they are likely having to pivot on some of their earlier business decisions. Not to mention the targeted demographics (cue global market now) are price conscious and thus investing in charging infra at the cost of higher vehicle prices is likely counterintuitive. There’s going to be a critical mass for charging stations and we’ll likely see them sell their proprietary charging systems to 3rd party to offload some of the cost burden, so they can continue to try to compete in the market on car prices.

Simply put, I suspect they found that the majority of their likely buyers (global) do not have supercharger network very high on their priority list when considering to buy a Tesla over the alternatives. I know I didnt.

A stark reminder that things are changing very very fast. That is not much anyone can do but to accept this changing landscape as the new reality

Collectes the car earlier today and everything looks good during the delivery time.

Went home and found out 2 things that I din noticed earlier.
1. Door level uneven. (One side only)
2. The rear seats got some stains on it. Use alcohol wipe to clean and all but can’t get rid of it. Don’t dare use other stronger cleaner products.

Plan to reach out to my DA tomorrow.
Also read from FB, can just schedule a service appointment and get it checked.

Any one got experience or general advise pls share. TIA

Go earliest session, skip the queue. Or go the latest session eg. 4pm or so usually less queue. If you arrive at say 10am or 3pm... prepare to wait at 1hr+ before they do anything to your car.
