I mean the reason I am asking if anyone got it even with just a month, is because if the timing to approve PR was no different than before, than whats the point of making the process so hard now......... They asked so much details etc and I hv provided them all and within a week now since its all online forms..... the least they could do is quickly review and revert.

If I'm not mistaken, they switched to online submission for IC, birth certificate, education certificates, and payslips at least seven years ago. There are many S Pass, Student Pass, and EP holders applying for PR. However, only around 32,000 applications are successful each year. That's why it takes a long time to select candidates who meet their criteria, and the process normally takes 6 months to 1.5 years to approve. Singapore is very rigorous with checking. And, the process has always been the same. Nothing has changed actually, you have to submit numerous required documents for the process. The good thing is you submit it online now.PR rate is low, you have to wait for a vacancy before you're even considered for the slot. Basically, 1 in 1 out now. |

QUOTE(hksgmy @ Sep 24 2024, 08:19 PM) They will slow down the applications for now to manage the sentiments. You read the forums, Singaporeans are really unhappy and election is around the corner. So probably slow down to manage the numbers and improve sentiment until elections are over. hksgmy liked this post

Guys...
If me and my kids apply for PR. For some reason we surrender our PR before serving NS. What will happen to my kids? I have got version: 1. Kids can never set foot in Singapore else will be jail 2. Kids can sill visit Singapore but cannot work in SG |

Abit off topic, but curious, is there a distinct difference in work culture in MNCs between MY and SG?

Put it simply,Yes in a dilemma. But so far different people giving me different answer. I just want to know the options. “Option” in SG comes at a premium. Huge premium. Don’t try to game the system. It is as fool proof as it can get unless you can afford the premium. If you need to secure the premium with job security, it is likely a very real risk. Usually, the solution is the inevitable… hksgmy liked this post
