Seems like Malaysia CLX700 is problematic, feel like CKD & QC issue. No wonder see so many CLX700 selling at iMotorbike.

Seldom see this CLX700 at China had issue complained by them.

Not the case. Coz 1.5 hours later when we arrived at Mforce, the bike could start again. But out there in the middle of the highway and by the side of the road, no joy.

Even then, like the dominar, the overheating safety feature has 2 levels.

First it limits revs to 5000. If you continue to run it, then it will shut off the bike until it's cool enough to run. Usually within 30mins.

Quite dangerous for the rider if it was to shut off completely suddenly.

And I was thinking if it's not already bad enough for KTMs history or random stalling and electrical gremlins.

If the bike doesn't crank at all it points to the ECU doing something...or not doing what it's supposed to be.

I guess, we won't know the reason why the bike did that?

Paid Rawtech a visit today to finalize with En. Azis the design of her custom rear rack. On the topic of the bar riser, he did note that the cables might start to tug at full lock and cause all sorts of problems. So he advised my wife against it.

Her 700 CLX died again Thursday night while riding home with me after dinner in Ara Damansara. 3rd lane in fast-moving traffic on the NKVE at 9pm, ignition cut out and lost power all of a sudden while cruising at highway speeds. Power was on but it refused to start. It was a harrowing experience coz she didn't not have the power to safely cut across 3 lanes of traffic into the emergency lane and the bike came to a stop in the middle of the friggin highway. Fortunately, the large truck behind her managed to stop in time and block the traffic for us to push the bike to the side of the highway. Called a tow truck and dumped the motherfucker at Mforce immediately afterward.

She was supposed to ride it to Satun with me next week. Looks like she'll have to make the trip on the back of my bike as a passenger.

Enough is enough, that bike is DONE. We'll cut our losses and flog it off immediately when it comes out of Mforce. Damn near killed both of us that nite.

@ZZR

So what did MForce say about the bike?

Looks like both our bikes are at segambut now. They have elected to repair my NK at segambut instead of sending it back to penang.

Ah I see. That's a bummer. Anyway, I would really love to see how her custom rear rack turn out. Any picture to share? Which rear luggage option do she get?

I'm pretty much done with cfmoto/MForce also.

Minor mishap with the loaner CLX. A real stupid one at that. A minor lapse in good practice.

Sat on the bike ready to go out for dinner. Switched it on. Shows neutral. Pressed the starter. Bloody bike jumped forward. It was fucking in gear. Lost my balance and the bike fell on me. I mean WTF. That's a double failure.

Broken mirror..minor scuff on the bar end and exhaust heat shield. Nothing serious.

Nursing a bruised and slightly swollen palm from catching myself (I had not had my gloves on yet - was holding my gloves with my left hand, which is why I wasn't on the clutch like I usually do - was wanting to warm the bike up) and a slight bruise on my inner thigh from the bike falling in me. Fortunately I had my riding pants (hip armour did its job) and boots on.

I'm returning the bike to cfmoto tmrw...regardless of if they had fixed my 800nk or not.

I was actually enjoying the CLX pretty much..but my soon to be posted 1000km review of the bike won't be so rosy now.

I've had hundreds of drops and falls off my dominar especially off road without getting hurt, except for DAY ONE practicing low speed maneuver (Ironically, at the exact same spot..slippery cement at my parking lot) ...and you know what, my dominar's mirrors are still fine save some scratches on the plastic back.

I have the Demak bike which is always showing false neutral but the bike can start. Got caught off guard a few times like jaycee1 and now it is a habit of pulling in the clutch to start any bike.

Looks like they haven't touched my NK yet. Now says they will send it back to penang after a week sitting

So far 800mt seems to be the one with no issue from cfmoto malaysia, I guess 450sr too.
Wonder how 800nk is having a blunder when there shouldnt be much difference with 800mt. hmm.gif
Not sure about the smaller one like their papio or the 250s

There are.

MForce segambut mechanic says they have a couple come in for warranty repairs. What issues he didn't mention. But then again there are quite a few 800MTs sold, so there might be more due to the numbers sold.

My NK is the first and only one that have been sent in for warranty repair. But then again, a good number if NKs just hit break-in mileage...and certainly none of them had 450 corners done in 5 days......
