how did that happen  mega_shok.gif  false neutral indicator?
and it can start even in gear huh.. usually need to hold clutch if bike in gear

I have the Demak bike which is always showing false neutral but the bike can start. Got caught off guard a few times like jaycee1 and now it is a habit of pulling in the clutch to start any bike.

I had the Komine JK-142 jacket and loved the mesh and the amount of windflow until I crashed in it. I still have the armours and was hoping to see if they can be reused in another Komine jacket

Hi all,
On the lookout for some decent adventure touring pants with hip and knee protector. Need to cover the boots as well. Need not to be waterproof but a bonus if it is.

Been checking out Revit, KLIM, Alpinestar etc. but without much success as there are very little reviews especially for hot humid APAC countries.

Anyone has any suggestions?

Thanks,
*
I have touring pants from Komine and Revit. Tested the slide function on both and safe to report that they held up well. Just got a new pair of touring pants from Komine as well and this has the connector zipper to the jacket to make it sort of one piece. Komine pants comes with knee protector as a std but hip protector depends on the model of the pants. Some comes as a std but some only has foam padding

Felt the cut on the Revit are too low. When on the bike feels like I am showing butt crack to the world.

Can try RS Taichi as well.

Thanks. My jacket brand does not carry any attachment to any pants. I have a look at Komine and Taichi.

Any models in specific?

The one I currently have is the Komine JK-158 Jacket and Komine PK-746 pants. These joins together from the front of the waist and zips round to the other side. Both are mesh so are very well ventilated

got my self shark Spartan Gt Pro helmet full face(end of year promo price is gooding), replacing my faseed f-861 carbon, way less wind noise than the faseed, comfy too.  cool2.gif
I got the Shark Spartan GT Kromium instead of the GT Pro as it was the discontinued 22.05 version the shop gave me an additional discount. Sadly I had to retired it after 3 months of use as I went down on the bike with it but glad to report that it held up as it should.

Has better airflow than the Shoei and HJC and the visor is smoother indentation. The sun shield also covers more than the other 2 helmets

may i ask how bad is the damage that you need to retire it? i went into accident once with my helmet too. i read that people say i should change helmet when that happens
*
It depends. I had an accident on my Shoei and has minor scratches on the lid and visor and I am still using it.

As for the Shark, attached are the photos of the helmet

put tng card in a dedicated card holder with lanyard attached to it.
*
This is the best method imho. Get a retractable lanyard and just need to unzip the top part of the jacket to access the card. I do this for my housing access card as well but so far all the parking i went to have a gap enough for bikes to pass by

Do you guys wear touring boots for long distance or just street boots that covers above the ankle only.
kinda hard for me to find touring boots that is wide and not made of hard material because one of my feet has bunion

and for gloves do you go with those that covers above the wrist? or just street gloves..
*
It all depends on individual. I started with steel toes safety boots then upgraded to low cut boots and now wearing high boots. Looking to get the Sidi Adventure 2 as they are suitable for wide feet and has my size.

Gloves are about the same as boots. started with the street gloves and now wearing full gauntlet due to the wind pushing my jacket sleeves up which I did not like.
