Hi guys, I have one TP-Link C1200 Unifi router and wondering whether it can be used to connect to Celcom Home Fibre internet connection? I try to hook it up and using VLAN 623 but seemed not working. Anyone got any idea how it works?

if any of you having connection issue, and you are using Asus router, you are not alone. I troubleshoot for a few hours and just found this.

And if you are above 100 Mbps, you are literally "donating" free bandwidth back to the provider. One can hardly use all the bandwidth at any given time, unless you are streaming more than 10 HD movies and torrenting/P2P all the time. Or running online server "farming".

Guess this is why Unifi will probably give more speed at same price rather than lower subscription rates after MSAP 2023 kicks in.

Yup. Happened to me this morning. But it's only a temporary disconnection. The connectton came back within 1 min. Didn't reset or did anything. Thought it's a small glitch. Never knew it's a global issue. Right now it's slow to access the router setting page. Other than that, everything run smooth.

Don't think so. I am using the ancient RT-AC1300UHP and it happened to mine too.

so just go mention SWU plan and they will know? is there a pager that say which SWU downgrade?
*
Yes, or mention RM129 for 300mbps, free 6 months. If they pretend not to know, tell them you got offer from Maxis.

QUOTE(chkwong @ May 18 2023, 08:08 AM)
Yea, younger generation can't wait for anything. They just want fast fast.

IMHO, there isn't a lot of difference between 500, 300, 100, and 30 Mbps. I have tried all these plans over the years.

The major difference is the wallet "damage" monthly (and that translates to a huge savings yearly) and possibly your time patience waiting to download GBs game files or Windows patch. And if you are above 100 Mbps, you are literally "donating" free bandwidth back to the provider. One can hardly use all the bandwidth at any given time, unless you are streaming more than 10 HD movies and torrenting/P2P all the time. Or running online server "farming".
*
For me 100mbps is the sweet spot. 30mbps sucks because of the upload speed, unless you go for Maxis.

Try reset the router then setup with UniFi profile.

After that, change only VLAN ID, username, and password.

Probably still not onboarded into the system and the TM agents got an early heads up to collect subscription first.

It will take months until the fiber optic installation process fully completed. Expected 2-4 months, maximum 6 months.

Is there a DP box number?

For example
PB C020 0017
