Hi guys, I have one TP-Link C1200 Unifi router and wondering whether it can be used to connect to Celcom Home Fibre internet connection? I try to hook it up and using VLAN 623 but seemed not working. Anyone got any idea how it works?

Try reset the router then setup with UniFi profile.

After that, change only VLAN ID, username, and password.

Thanks for your reply, tvcat.

I tried to do so and yet it failed to connect to the Internet.

My current router has two WAN connection

WAN.1 is 1_INTERNET_R_VID_623 that has service type of INTERNET and VLAN 623.
WAN.2 is TR069 that has VLAN ID of 819.

I googled TR069 is only for feedback or remote control of my router, would it be the source of problem?

You may have a few dead spots.

Would it still be a better buy @RM900 or AX72 @ RM350 would be sufficient?

Don't mind to spend extra bit for stability for Wi-Fi but I don't do any gaming though

Hello guys, I have a 30Mbps Celcom plan and tapped into Unifi infrastructure.

Recently I try buffer-bloat test and get an F. I found out that my upload ping is about 500-600ms when loaded. Ethernet cable is used for this test.

Is it due to my router Archer C1200 or it’s Celcom fault? Can I report fault or report to MCMC?

Which bufferbloat test? 500ms is extremely high. Maybe the test doesn't have a server close to MY.

Thanks for your reply soonwai.

I’m using the one from waveform.com

waveform should be OK. I just did a test, the server used was 172.224.26.155 which is Akamai, SG.

on Unifi 800/200

Have you tried rebooting the C1200 just before a test? It could be the router but 500-600ms is a bit too much. Do you get public IP with Celcom?

How about normal speedtest.net results?
*
This is my result after reboot and make sure I’m the only one just connected to WiFi. Was a little bit late already so I just try again by using Wi-Fi. Put my phone just in front of Wi-Fi and I get this result

No. I didn’t request public ip as I heard they said they won’t give public ip for 30Mbps package?

Router, yes.

You need to have a great QoS or SQM router, by cutting a bit of your upload speed, it will be solved.
https://forum.openwrt.org/t/solved-bufferbl...-lag-fix/9100/9

If you don't mind slowing a bit, disable NAT BOOST and enable QoS on AC1200, setting it up correctly should works.
Weaker than Asus QoS or SQM on openwrt, but nah, as long as it works.

For me, I am using cfosspeed on my PC, but that don't apply to other device, so nah.

Thanks for your reply and help BenYeeHua!

I tried to disable NAT BOOST and enable QOS by applying 27 down and 27 up, VIOLA the download ping reduced by quite a lot but upload ping remain the same. Does it means that the fault is at Celcom/Unifi infrastructure side?

Here's the result:

Thanks in advanced

very bad i am sure you router Archer C1200 is crappy
you always like use Free router that crap you get bad higher 500++MS
i was used before router Archer C1200 first time unifi crappy similar got problem like you i know its not fault Unifi infrastructure side
i change my own asus router VIOLA stable ever ping can be lower

Does it means that the fault is at Celcom/Unifi infrastructure side? = my answer no i think not possible
its Router CRAP understand

buy you own Router

Thanks for your reply tng55.

Just wanted to double confirm the issue before make a purchase because the other router that provided by Celcom Homefibre which is skyworth RN685 also has same problem. So I doubt is router problem and thinking whether is their infrastructure problem.

Thanks for your assurance and I think I'll get myself a good router real soon.

Yes, also just wonder, what's the performance of fiber modem, fiberhome?
So far I got huawei, then they switch to ZTE after huawei banned by US, both works well.

For router, nah, can use, but if I heavy on WiFi will down real quick, only suitable for 30-100M usage.
And orange router latency higher than AC1200 v2 with NAT BOOST.
DNS?
Can be a dns issues, which also handle by router for caching and reroute to ISP DNS.

Yes that also count as router too shitty lol.
And yes, good router with auto channel selection should select based on talktime, not just default CH 36, lol.

Unsure which website you means, YouTube got local MY peer server(aka TM and Maxis etc lol), so unless you means Twitch or Bilibili, If YouTube stop loading, sure is local network issues.

Hi Guys, I just changed my router to ASUS TUF-AX4200 but seemed like I still experience the same bufferbloat issue.

Do you guys have any advise?

Thanks for your help syahpian.

I tried to use the normal QoS on my router to cap upload and download to 25Mbps seemed to solve most of the problem right now except some spike every few minutes.
