Hi I'm planning to switch back to unifi from Maxis due to the price has been the same since I use it back in 2019. Since I don't want to lose my port, should I apply for unifi first or deactivate my maxis fibre first?
*
If you deactivate your current ISP first then you give people like @tutuyao the port he needs smile.gif
Then it becomes your turn to wait for port availability.

QUOTE(HariszKilz @ Mar 2 2023, 06:38 PM)
Please refer here. This is also been mentioned before in this thread last month.

Taking a cue from its 2018 playbook, TM likely will offer a free speed upgrade for its subscribers to defend its average revenue per user (ARPU) and soften the tradedown impact. Therefore, based on its existing offerings (Exhibit 2), the RM89/month plan likely will be boosted to 100Mbps speed (from 30Mbps) while the RM129/month will be upgraded to 300Mbps (from 100Mbps).

Does that mean they will increase your speed at same price but not lower price for current speed?

last last read don't remember how long ago; TM was supposedly not ready yet while other fixed-line operators are.

Alasan ajelah tu.
Uncertainty, don't dare to know many subscribers will leave TM if when possible to do FNP.

It was promised to be implemented by end 2022

Did that too. Started UniFi with 10mbps, then up and up and up till 800mbps (free upgrade), then downgrade to 100mbs. Now on 300mbps (same price as 100mbps, so shy not to upgrade  sweat.gif ).

Will be sticking with this 300mbps.  thumbsup.gif

Even 100mbps is more than enough. One or two 4K Netflix stream will be okay.
*
How many people here started with 300 baud?
(that's 300bps)

Better wait for the new MSAP pricing for comparison before committing to the two year contract.

What I want to know is the expected pricing/speed after the gov lowered the wholesale pricing under MSAP 2023.

If 30Mbps is dropping from RM89 to RM69 for B40 users, what will they charge for the M40 users?

THAT, is what the minister promised to reveal yesterday today.

be prepared to be disappointed.
*
Even if I qualify, I'd want to know of the new post-MSAP pricing.
Unfortunately it will only be revealed in two to three months time (according to a link posted here a while ago)

Its just the official launch of 30MBPS@ RM69 right? 30MBPS at RM69 with 24 month contract, nothing great,it shld hv been 100MBPS instead
*
It should accurately be described as "Launch of RM20 discount" instead.
I thought the offer would be permanent.
Does the minister expect the B40 users to cancel their sub at the end of 24 months?

there is no penalty in my case as the original speed is 30mbps. No change in speed just recontract.
I was offered year 1 69/mth and year 2 onwards 89/mth.

might as well recontract to maintain cheaper price for 2 more years
*
I'm guessing they will continue charging RM69 after 24 months.

Any news from Maxis on the Unity package?
